“My girlfriend and I went for a late Valentine’s Day dinner and when I say the atmosphere alone is worth the experience and the food is just an added bonus id be selling the whole thing short. We’ve done our fair share of dining out and the moment we walked in we were wowed. Last year we went to a place in providence called Marcelino’s boutique bar and Olivia’s felt like it had that same atmosphere but better lighting not too dark not overly bright. Now the good stuff We got a bottle of dr loosen reisling to drink and The Baker - New Bedford focaccia safe but excellent start. Apps we decided on the Maryland crab cakes, I HATE greasy crab cakes, but these crab cakes 🤌 amazing. The remoulade brought the flavors the crunchy crab filled cake needed (little secret use the lemon it elevates the flavors of the sauce and a little acid to complement the crab divine). I ordered the white fish of the day with miso and brown butter crust with pastinaca & grilled broccolini ( disclaimer I did not eat the green trees) but the pastinaca was amazing and something new to me. Light and fluffy but buttery and creamy I’d eat it again. She ordered the steak frites probably one of the best seasoned pieces of meat I’ve ever put in my mouth ( little secret ask for extra chimichurri butter you’ll thank me later) and upgraded the frites to parm truffle fries. Classic dish done right 10/10. Perfect medium. Dessert nothing short of a perfect end/sweet treat, Emma’s chocolate chip cookie amazing second personal favorite but that is neither here nor there. The affogato perfetto, perfection I upgraded the gelato to the salted caramel (they happened to have some from another dessert) and was not disappointed. Sam ordered the classic espresso martini and was in love, although not being a big baileys girlie she really enjoyed the drink.“

“They have great customer service, the food seems to be under cooked a lot of the time, the floors behind the counter usually are not clean, with food and grease on the floor, does not seem to be very healthy ?

“WHOEVER was on drive thru window today at 4:10 on September 23, 2022 a Saturday, you need a HUGE SHOUT OUT!! All I ordered was a small fry and she asked if I wanted any sauce and I said yeah sweet and sour thanks that would be awesome. I love to dip my fries in sauce but usually the girls at the window look at me weird cuz I didn't order nuggets, and she said, "Oh I love doing that!" Just something that little really put a smile on my face cuz I had a rough day and in the words of salt and pepper I give props to those who deserve it! ??“

“G's is the place to go for authentic Haitian food. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They have a great little spot in the south end of New Bedford. My family and I will definitely be eating here more often.“

“I've gone for lunch and dinner here many times and it is always top notch!! But today I wanted to write a review about hosting an event at Cask & Pig. My Mom passed about 3 weeks earlier and we wanted to hold a celebration of life. We settled on Cask & Pig for the amazing food & atmosphere. The event was this past Sunday and we planned for about 40 people however, over 70 people attended. Cask & Pig didn't faulter though, and provided enough food/drinks as well as seating for all who joined us. The food was outstanding (as usual), the staff kept the tables clear & everyone commented on what a beautiful venue we had chosen. I can not thank Mario, Elaine and the entire staff for making Mom's celebration the perfect day that it was! I hate to mention price but I have to touch upon the reasonable cost too!! If you are looking for a venue for any type of event, contact Cask & Pig!! You will not be disappointed!“
