“What a fun place to discover! Our Smash Burgers and tater tots were amazing! The outdoor seating was cozy and fun. Indoor available if desired. The blonde ale was incredibly smooth.Friendly, professional service. Beautiful pasture and starry skies were the icing on the cake. This is definitely on our revisit list!“

“A solid place. Was passing through the area with a group of 6 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Our waitress was pleasant and checked on us just enough. The 1 star was lost due to the wait. It took about 30 minutes to get the appetizer and another 15 for the food. Otherwise all of the food we got was great. My party had the black bean burger, the mushroom Swiss burger, stuffed haddock, fish and chips, bbq chicken wings, chicken fingers, french onion soup and fries. I heard no complaints about the food and we all left with leftovers. Will certainly return!“

“The Route 78 Grill is a roadside outdoor food stand located across the road from Kulick's on NH Route 78 in Winchester. They serve up breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, subs, chicken fingers, chili, fries, onion rings, and cold drinks. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. There's also several picnic tables nearby. I stopped by the Route 78 Grill for lunch recently. The place was fairly busy for Friday lunch. I placed my order for a Chili Cheese Dog ($3), Steak & Cheese Sub with topping choices ($7.50) and Large Onion Rings ($4.50). The lady used an old school calculator to total up the order and I was charged $23, which seemed pretty high. However, the lady corrected it and the total was now $15, which seemed more reasonable. My order was prepared to order called in under 10 minutes. The chili cheese dog was lightly grilled topped with a homemade meat & bean chili and orange cheese sauce on a soft hot dog bun. The steak & cheese sub had grilled shaved steak, sauteed peppers, onions, & mushrooms, melted American cheese, mayo on a soft hoagie roll. The breaded onion rings were nice and crunchy on the outside. Overall, the food here was pretty good drive-in style fare, greasy and tasty. They should really also have the napkins and condiments out on the counter next to the pickup window.“

“So I went here tonight and I’ve gone here for years but tonight I had the best waitress named Amy. She was so sweet and made my terrible night a bit better. She deserves the best in life and I’m really sad that I didn’t get a chance to wish her a good rest of her night as I was in a big group and in a rush as my night wasn’t the best. If you read this Amy, my group of 8 others and I thought you were great. I was the one with the blue hair :D“

“It's a hit or miss coming here. Food is 3 out of 4 times correct when it comes out, they seem to be understaffed lately and it takes a while to be seated and a little longer to be seen for drink orders. However if you don't mind the wait its fine.“

“Perfectly delicious hamburgers, paddy melts, fries and onion rings. I saw a whole bunch of other sandwiches and items on their menu but I was a craving a bacon cheeseburger so my friend and I came here for a late lunch one afternoon after checking out the Montague Book Mill. Decor is clearly very dated but I find that adds to the charm. More importantly, place is very clean and given that it was a rainy, coldish kind of day outside, we lucked out and snagged a table beside the wrought-iron wood-burning fireplace. Even though it was late in the afternoon, the place surprisingly filled up quickly with other patrons. Foodwise, absolutely no complaints, they do all the old standbys perfectly well and even had Trader Joe's Organic Ketchup on each table. If I'm in the area in the summer, I definitely want to try out their ice cream.“
