Summer of 1965 had the pleasure of working in the kitchen for a wonderful Chef Tim Kennedy (rip).
Great experience.
That Summer Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward also enjoyed a stay there.
I had the honor of photographing a wedding at the Wequassett and would 10/10 recommend. Everything from the staff to the food to the venues scenery was top notch.
My husband grew up going to the Wequassett as a kid. He talked it up so much that I was thinking it might not to live up to the hype - but it absolutely did. The resort is absolutely beautiful. It's so well landscaped, very clean and incredibly picturesque. The guest room we stayed it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and treated my family and I so well. Everything felt luxurious. Outer Bar offers an excited simple menu with elegantly plated food and spot-on flavors and textures. The clam chowder was a disappointing item due to portion, price, and the fact that it was Sysco pre-made soup, but the tacos and drinks were just one of the best ever. The lamb gyro was very good, and the fish and chips was dynamite. The food was delicious, and the view is exquisite—a beautiful beach view that feels calm, elegant, and cinematic. The service is top notch. The bartender Marko was perfect, very communicative and charming. Dalibor and Ljupcho brought food with phenomenal service and positive energy. The waiter Michael from Jamaica was absolutely superb, kind, patient, and professional. The service is quick to refills and always asking if anything is needed. The grounds, atmosphere, and amenities are incredible. This is a very expensive place, but a perfect experience and beautiful food. A wonderful place for a quick bite, elegant and tranquil, with lovely service. The flowers were divine, like walking through an art gallery made of tulips and colors. A 5-star+ experience.
