“Had a great evening there with some of my friends. Tons of tequila to choose from, the menu items were tough to choose from. I had the queso along with a quesadilla. I could've ordered more but I was stuffed. Service, food and drink was exquisite. I even ended up buying some merch! Great looking stuff. 10/10 Will be coming back!“

My young daughter accidentally left her wallet in the bathroom, and it contained a substantial amount of money she had recently earned. When we realized it was missing, I honestly assumed we would never see it again — or at least that the money would be gone. To our absolute shock and gratitude, that same night one of your employees went out of their way to track her down on social media and return the wallet completely untouched. Every single dollar was still there. This act of honesty and kindness meant more to us than I can properly put into words. Please know how thankful we are, and please recognize that you have an incredibly honest, thoughtful, and amazing employee on your team. They made a lasting impression on our family, especially on my daughter. Thank you for employing people who do the right thing, even when no one is watching.“

“THIS PLACE WENT FROM BEING ONE OF THE BEST GEMS TO A PLACE THAT FEELS SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO EVEN SET A FOOT IN. I'VE BEEN TO THIS PLACE FOR OVER 10 YEARS, SINCE PANDEMIC HAVE NOT GONE. WE FINALLY WENT, THE MINUTE I WALKED IN THE PERSON AT CASHIER SAID WHEN YOUR READY TO ORDER YOU COME HERE, BLINDED BY IT AS IS A RESTAURANT NOT A FAST FOOD SPOT I LOOKED AT HER AND ASK FOR THE MENU SHE LOOKS AT ME AND POINTS INFRONT OF HER TO GO GET IT MIND YOU, THERE ARE 3 OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO WORK THERE .....I LET IT PASS AND TRIED TO GIVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE COMING BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK AS THE FOOD ACTUALLY WAS GOOD THE WEEK PRIOR. WELL SERVICE WAS ONLY WORSE THIS TIME AROUND, THE WOMAN AT CASHIER LOOKED BOTHER BY JUST BEING THERE TAKING OUR ORDER AS THE TIME PRIOR OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO ALSO WORKED THERE STANDING JUST THERE. WE GET OUR FOOD REALIZING I GOT CORN TORTILLAS ASKED IF THEY CAN BE SWITCHED TO FLOURONE OF THE EMPLOYEES RESPONSE WELL IF YOU DON'T EAT THEM THERE GOING TO THE TRASH AND I AM LOOKING AT HER LIKE OKAY IS FINE CAN I PAY FOR AN EXTRA ORDER OF TORTILLAS OF FLOUR. THE AMOUNT OF DISPLEASSURE THESE WOMAN HAVE BEING THEIR IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SERVED, ASIDE FROM THE FOOD FEELING SO RUSH THIS TIME AROUND AS WE GOT THERE AT 8 THEY CLOSED AT 10PM. I UNDERSTAND RESTAUTANT INDUSTRY IS NOT EASY BUT FOR ME TO GO TO AND SPEND MY MONEY IN A PLACE THAT FEELS SO FORCED TO WORK IS NOT WORTH MY TIME NOR MONEY.“

“We ordered online. The burrito menu is extensive! Loved all the options. Chicken Burrito with Spanish rice pic de gallo guac sour cream and lettuce was delicious. Place was so clean. Staff so friendly. Definitely a great place for take out dinner! High recommended.“

“Small family owned taqueria with really generous portions of traditional Mexican comfort classics. I had the tacos al pastor on authentic soft corn tortillas and they were excellent. Our table started with a platter of enchiladas, some chorizo and some chicken, and they were also really good. There are only four tables for dining in, but it looks like many people get their food for delivery anyway.“

“Giving 4 stars because they usually do well here, I come here all the time since I work next door. Lots of new people always training, so things can be chaotic. But today really annoyed me. I ordered a kids nacho. When it came time for the protein, I asked what the flavored steak was. The girl told me mango habanero, and I said okay, ill get the beef. She talked me into sampling it, so I chose it. Time for the register, the woman charges me for a mini bowl and a soda. I told her I asked for a kids nacho(which should have also included a side and a drink) and she told me the mango habanero isn't included and made me pay almost $5 more for something her employee literally pushed me to try 😆 it feel like after I explained to her, she should have just charged me what I actually ordered. $5 more for a different flavored steak and no side 😆“

“IT'S UPSTAIRS!!!
We almost didn't go in because we thought it was just a restaurant as it appeared downstairs, but there is a bar upstairs with additional seating to eat as well.

The way the bartender prepared the drinks and presented them was phenomenal.“

“Originally California Underground started out as a taco joint, and they serve delicious tacos, burritos, quesadillas, taco bowls and more.

However, NOW, they started to serve breakfast and boy oh boy…. This is probably going to be my new breakfast spot in hull! Everything was delicious from the breakfast burrito, to the corn beef hash, and they even serve shakshouka! I haven’t found a place that serves shakshouka in town and as someone who loves Mediterranean food this was certainly a welcoming addition!

Everything seemed very fresh and homemade, and the prices were very fair! Don’t pass up on their new breakfast menu, and certainly don’t pass up on the lunch and dinner that they have been serving up for years now!“

This is a must try, great pupusas and their soups are unique. I wish to see more vegetables on the soup than just a lame pieces of potatoes and green beans, but flavor on point. Try the nuegados ufff amazing texture.“
