“Love Tu y Yo in Somerville but quite a drive for us. This has the same owners and much of the same menu and is much closer. This restaurant was wonderful! My favorites are the cactus salad, the tamales, plantains, and birria tacos. Mole wasn't my favorite, and pozole was good but a bit salty. Staff were really friendly and welcoming! Definitely looking forward to coming back!“

“Delicious, authentic, and fresh Mexican food. Great for takeout, always fresh off the grill and great flavor.
The homemade sauce on the tables inside is SO GOOOD.
The TV inside is always playing really loud but if you don't mind that then it's nice to eat there even though it's small.“

“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.“

I've eaten everything here and never been disappointed. My favorite meal at Angela's is brunch. The pancakes are perfect, I usually opt for the huevos con chorizo.

The customer service at the location in Malden was excellent, our waitress was so polite, personable, and the right amount of attentive. The restaurant was spotless, I mean, SPOTLESS, including the restroom. The rest of the staff checked in, and the food was excellent.“

“I’m consistent customer and I tend to get the same server every time. They tend to half scoop on reg servings, in addition to not being able to wrap a burrito properly. I just wish that they were more attentive when it comes to actual portions and wrapping.“

“I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars because their veggie taco, quesadilla, and all of their salsas were so good. However, the veggie tamales were sadly quite dry and had too much corn for the amount of filling.

I will certainly be back because everything else was too tier. I’d highly recommend checking this place out, but based on my experience today, avoid the veggie tamales.“
