“Local donut shop with an old diner-ish vibe (cash only).

First time passing through Quincy Center, so I stopped by to try some local donuts. It’s cash only, but prices were reasonable. About $11 for a half-dozen regular donuts.

Their “special” donuts sat up front in the glass case with fun toppings, but one of the employees mentioned they’re basically the same chocolate or vanilla frosted donuts dressed up with extras. At $3.50 each, not terrible, but both the pumpkin one and the cookie monster one were just okay.

From their classics, we grabbed the old-fashioned and the Boston cream. Better than Dunkin’, obviously, but not my favorite versions around Boston. Feels more like a spot I’d stop by on my way to work than a place I’d drive out of my way for.“

“We stopped in with our hockey team this weekend—parents, coaches, and players—and everyone loved the food and drinks! The menu variety and quality far exceeded expectations. Our only suggestion would be to consider allowing split checks; not being able to do so made things tricky for a large group. “I come here every so often. Just a local doughnut shop where you can also buy scratch tickets/tobacco. My go-to is the glazed chocolate. Relatively smaller doughnut but it is just the right size if you don't want to feel too guilty. Service is always excellent but I never tried any of the breakfast sandwiches.“

I've been a returning customer to this Honey dew for the last 2 years and the workers have done nothing but serve up the best breakfast items I need, especially in a timely manner. The workers take their time making their drinks and thankfully, do not rush to make something mediocre. At the same time, they have a great pacing that's very efficient for someone like me who works pretty far from Brockton. “I’m at a loss for words, this is maybe one of the best Dunkin Donuts in the country. We pulled up to the window and were greeted by a friendly “hi can I help you!”. We ordered our food and were only in line for a minute or two on a busy morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our large order, and gave us PLENTY of napkins. “Received a DD gift card for Mothers day 2020 from my Gdot, so I used it at 1200 Hyde Park Ave location around 2:50 pm 5/18/ 20 where I was patronized by a very nice latino woman to be specific, ordering the back by popular demand Butter Pecan Iced Coffee, and the new to me Protien Muffin, who she had the food attendant gentlemen working with her retrieve, let me also remind you that during these Covid-19 times, I saw that I had to go inside due to no drive thru available. That was the best service I was given in years, my order in front of me within one minute, and the Muffin was bakery fresh, with the Iced Coffee made to perfection. Unfortunately the person taking my order was no familiar with that, thank goodness there was a colleague in the back who was able to explain what I wanted. First contact highlight: the iced tea. Sweet mercy of the Milky Way. Ask for “Pookie.” Do not ask why. Just ask. This iced tea is so sweet it made my eyeballs duck for cover like they were crossing Storrow Drive during rush hour. One sip and my internal organs started chanting “LET’S GO BRUINS.” I don’t even know who that is.

Now… the food in the glass case. Look. I’ve traveled light-years. I’ve seen things. But tapping on that glass gave me the same feeling as tapping on the hot-dog roller at a 7-Eleven. You know the feeling. That “yeahhhhh no” feeling. I’m not a “food behind glass” kind of alien. HOWEVER—my offspring (small Earth humans you call “kids”) still receive nourishment from here, and they survive, so science checks out.

The coffee? Not my species’ favorite. Yet somehow, inexplicably, I keep ending up at Dunkin’ so much that when I see one while driving, I get irrationally annoyed. Like, “Oh great, ANOTHER Dunkin’—what is this, the Space Needle or Route 93?” But then five minutes later I’m in the drive-thru again, questioning my life choices.
