“We go to Eastern Standard for a nice leisurely meal after a afternoon Red Sox game. Wait staff is attentive and Johnny on the spot when taking and discussing your order. Food has always been prepared as we like it. Quality, Quantity and presentation prevails. Thanks to the entire staff for making each trip to a game a pleasure win or loose.“

“I only had the opportunity to have a single drink here. It was an old fashioned, which is so eady to make, but still usually screwed up. This was definitely a very good one, almost worth the ~$19 price. I will be back.

But speaking of backs, none of the seats have them -- those of us with back problems can't sit comfortably for long. Hence the three stars instead of five on atmosphere.“

“This was my Daughter's birthday weekend and we wanted to Take her to one of the places that Guy Fieri Visited for DDD...making memories. What we got was so much more. Truthfully the Best dining experience we have EVER experienced. The hostess was super friendly and immediately made accommodations due to the fact that I am currently in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was astonishing!!! The food...we truly cannot say enough good things about an are planning when to take the trip from Vermont again to get more. We were blown away . However the highlight of our evening hands down was our Server Kevin!!! He made my Daughter's night ...focused on making her smile and gave her a piece of cheesecake to celebrate. We will remember this forever and simply cannot thank you enough“

“Fabulous evening. I made my reservation a month ago and was surprised when we were seated in a faraway corner on the lower level. We asked to move upstairs and the host gladly accommodated us. Our server was attentive and friendly and made great recommendations. Calamari was a little salty, but everything else was perfect! This is always my favorite pre-ballet spot. A nice espresso martini is just right to stay awake for the rest of the evening!“

“We arrived late to Boston and needed a place to grab a bite. Their kitchen was still open so we ordered some food and drinks. The food and drinks were delish. The atmosphere was fairly lively. It’s a small footprint so having a few groups of people in there made the atmosphere pretty loud. Not a bad thing, just a notable observation. Overall the Franklin Cafe fit our need with good late night food and drinks.“

“We had a fantastic stay at the Harborside. Location was great, short walk from south station and around tons of great restaurants and the water! Room was clean and had way more character and charm than a chain hotel room would! AC worked great, bathroom and shower was nice. Check in was easy and staff was friendly! “Great atmosphere on a real tall ship in Boston harbor.. very crowded on Saturday with mostly very well behaved young crowd, about 70% men. ... Can only get food away from the ship in small food truck type setups, but way overpriced.. The bartenders on the ship were very good and they have about 8 TVs so good for sports.“

“Our bartender Ben was amazing. He provided top-notch service—was inviting, checked on us regularly with a smile, provided natural conversation and a laugh.

The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. The bar did have a TV and the seats were comfortable.

We ordered calamari and oysters. The calamari was served hot with mild red and yellow peppers and an equal amount of tentacles and rings. There was a small pool of oil in the middle of the plate that I’d have preferred not to be there, but it is a fried appetizer after all. Oysters for $1 til 6p every day is a steal compared to other spots in the city. They were very full-bodied and shucked beautifully. I also tried the crimson glow fresh-pressed juice and it was a good accompaniment to the fresh oysters.

Would recommend to anyone visiting or living in Boston who wants a more chill, relaxing atmosphere without sacrificing upscale vibes. Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.“

“Went today a Tuesday. Service was horrible and they were not busy. Waited 5 minutes before we walked up to a server to ask to be seated. Waited another 10 minutes for water , 10 more to order drinks, then 15 min to order apps. Apps came out before drinks which took about 20min to come out. Food was horrible. I don't know how you can mess up chips with salsa & guac or a chicken quesadilla flavor wise. Chips were overcooked. Quesadilla chicken was under cooked. Birria tacos were pure salt. Pico all we tasted was lime. Ordered a mixed drink but it was all liquor. Asked for a manager & told there was not one available. My birthday dinner ruined. As you can see from the pics we did not finish our main courses because they were not eatable. We did not take them home either. Great presentation but thats about all that was good.“

“It's a beautiful space! We arrived around 7pm on a Sunday. We may have missed the food window -- there were some cold sandwiches available upon request, and the bar was closed and all of the syrup bottles were saran wrapped shut.

We stocked up on snacks (chips, popcorn, pretzel, Kind bars, trail mix) and got some juice bottles.

Overall a nice place to relax before your train, but unless you arrive during a meal time, don't expect to get much food outside of snacks.“
