“india Pizza in Lexington, MA - A Hidden Gem. I recently visited India Pizza in Lexington, MA, for the first time and wasn't sure what to order. I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional. I only interacted with one staff member, but the service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I highly recommend you try their food. I'll definitely be coming back. Excellent service all around! I'm not a person who try different culture foods. The reviews sold me. The Service I received again was top notch 👌 👍“

“Dinner party for 8, we were a little late but they were very accommodating. We started with Samosas which came with two sauces a chutney and sweet. For entrees, I had the Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Cochin Curry, Palak Paneer, and the Rogan Josh Goat Curry with Garlic Naan. The curries came with a small bowl of white rice. My favorite curry was the Rogan Josh Goat Curry. The meat was tender with spices nicely infused to create a wonderful and smooth taste. I also ordered a Masala Chai which was the perfect temperature to sip! Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend. I will be coming back again!“

“Wow tikka, was wow! Had ordered kachori chaat and Vada pav, lassi and masala tea. Kachori chaat was the best ever kachori I have had in the US so far. Vada was a bit salty and they can better it. Comes in quantity of 2 both the items. Kachori chat is enough for one person though. Lassi and masala tea was fine.
Good for price, clean and enough sitting inside and outside.
Vegetarian options: Indian street food, curries etc.“

“Went out for a late night drive and was glad to have come across this place at midnight. Got a quick snack of samosas, masala chai and masala lassi. The service was fast and friendly.
This is a fast casual spot so the lassi came bottled and the chai came out of a dispenser machine. Everything was decent but nothing to write home about. The prices felt a little steep at $5 for a samosa and $4 for each drink.“

“We brought our toddler out to dinner here. When he was having a hard time, the very sweet and kind server offered to pack our food for takeout. She even brought it outside to us, across the street, with plates and utensils. The food was excellent as usual, but I cannot express how much the kindness and understanding of that server meant to us. Thank you! We will definitely be back more often (for takeout!)“

“We had pani puri here which was very forgettable and taste was lacking flavor. Puri were made with cheap substitute . You can buy pack of 3 puri(s) in costco for $7-8. I recommend using that and add bit more spices in pani puri. Samosa was good and appreciated the complimentary masala tea.“

“This is the second time in one week my friend and I have chosen this restaurant as our destination for food, drinks, and merriment and we were not disappointed. The staff is a delight, both times we were greeted with a warm smile and they were very knowledgeable recommending dishes and levels of spice. The naan bread is delicious and the appetizers and entrees we ordered were amazing as well bursting with so much flavor. The cocktails were crafted with precision and so much passion from the wonderful bartender. The live music is great! We definitely recommend Chulo restaurant and plan on returning again and again!“

“Living nearby, Kantipur has become my go-to every week for quarantine takeout. I've tried all the chicken dishes about 3 times by now and I still can't decide which is the best! But my favorite menu item is the vegetable pakora appetizer. Dip it in the chutney sauce and you'll understand. 🎁🎊“

“Earlier this year vegetarian restaurant Walnut Grille was renamed as Shiva's Kitchen, focused on serving Indian cuisine. No longer a fully vegetarian restaurant, but kept many of the same menu items, like my favorite, the Manchurian Gobi. We were a bit reluctant to go back after mixed reviews on Happy Cow and the fact its no longer fully vegetarian. However, I am glad we went after seeing a review from local instagram Boston Herbivore. We ordered the Manchurian Gobi, Vegan Samosa, Tofu Saag and Tofu Madras. Everything came out piping hot, super fresh and delicious! Manchurian Gobi is crispy, sweet and a nice sweetness. Samosas are solid, super crispy, brimming with delicious filling. Tofu Saag was delicious! I loved the fresh ginger topping too. I had a bite of the Tofu Madras, super creamy from the coconut milk and a nice spice. Overall 10/10 for the vegan options with so many options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. A solid 7/10 for food! Everything was delicious! I think next time I will ask for more spice/heat. Food was milder to appeal to a wider audience. I will rate a bit lower, 5/10 for service since we waited 15 to 20 minutes to order and another 15 to pay. To be fair, a lot was going on! And most of the tables were full when we left. Two appetizers, two entrees came out to $67 with 20% tip, which I think is a reasonable price for dinner out! I would definitely come back for the options and fresh, healthy, delicious food! I also feel confident eating vegan here. My experience with most Indian restaurants is that they advertise vegan but then everything contains butter or ghee.“

“Vaisakhi is the breath of fresh air that the restaurant scene in this little corner of Brighton and all of Cleveland Circle needs. Finally a sit down, casual Indian place that's reasonably priced and doesn't require half an hour each way on the T to get to! Even on their first day open, their food is better than several of the Indian restaurants in the Boston area that I've eaten at. Tucked away across from the Sutherland Road T stop, you can follow your nose to the doorstep of the restaurant. The interior tastefully restrained, bright colors and some simple paintings above the booths. The space is small, but not cramped and the booth seating at least was very comfortable. The three gentlemen who own/run the front of the house are eager to please. We were seated right away and given water and menus. The menu is comprehensive without being too large and confusing. The vegetarian, and meat sections are both equally sized, so there's plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My wife and I started out with the vegetable pakoras. These little fritters of batter and veggies were served hot, with a little bit of salty spice powder and dipping sauces. The crunchy shell pairs nicely with the soft veggies inside and tastes amazing when you put a bit of the red onion chutney on it. For our main course we ordered the saag paneer and the dal makhani, two of our favorite vegetarian dishes in Indian cuisine. The dal makhani was subtle, not overly spiced and not overly rich like many I've had. The lentils weren't rock hard or cooked into mush. The star of the show was definitely the saag paneer though. The saag was so wonderfully rich and smooth and spiced perfectly, and the paneer was the perfect texture, not too soft and mushy and now dry and crumbly. We decided to leave room for some desert and tried both the gulab jamun and the kheer. The kheer was a bit under seasoned for my taste, not enough rose water or cardamom and a bit on this thin side, but it served as a nice palate cleanser. The gulab jamun was excellent, the syrup not too sweet or floral and the balls had a nice subtle flavor to them as well. I'm lucky enough to live right around the corner from Vaisakhi, but I would gladly travel a lot further for this food.“

“It is a small restaurant with a fast casual vibe with a variety of fillings for dosa. Masala Dosa was not the crispiest or thinnest as it is supposed to be but it tasted good. The Sambar was ok but the coconut chutney was amazing. Just felt like the chutney portion and sambar portion were too small compared to dosa or a plate of Idly.
We went on Friday afternoon for lunch and it was crowded as their is limited seating inside the restaurant.
Overall, not the best but if you are craving South Indian food then it's good enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Disclaimer - they don't serve uttapam or medu vada on their menu.
Vegetarian options: Menu is not completely vegetarian. They do serve meat and egg toppings on dosa“

“You have to visit this Indian restaurant, by far best Indian food I have had in the US. Be careful with asking for spicy food, the chef is tuned to adjust spice level as per Indian pallet.
Great food, polite staff, we had Punjabi Kadi, Bartan bhartha and mango moose.
Definitely recommend.
Vegetarian options: They have rich spread of vegetarian options.“

“Wow!! Incredible food!! Definitely one of the best if not the best Indian food I’ve had in the Greater Boston Area. We got the paneer tikka masala with coconut rice and a cheese dosa to share and everything was absolutely delicious. The paneer tikka masala was so fragrant and flavorful and it was a perfect pairing with everything else we ordered. Dosas were definitely a lot bigger than I expected but it was a pleasant and welcome surprise. 10/10 recommend.“

Vegetarian options: A large variety of vegetarian options ranging from paneer to chenna to more.“

“This is clearly the best Indian food in the greater Boston area by a long mile. All the dishes have perfect consistency, are very tasty and aromatic, have fresh ingredients, and have a special savory quality above other Indian restaurants. Also, the chefs will make the food based on your preference of spiciness (and I've actually ordered vindaloo, which is supposed to be spicy, in other local restaurants that was served mild!) no matter what the dish. The selection is larger and more interesting that at any other local restaurant, with a good selection of special dishes, breads, and dosas in addition to all the traditional dishes. There is an amazingly good selection of several draft and bottled beers (for example, Night Shift and Jacks Abby offerings on tap, and Dogfish Head and others in bottles), which is EXTREMELY rare for Indian restaurants, which usually serve the worst quality beers. Finally, the location (Arlington Center, with plenty of on street parking) and inside decor are great, with a modern and stylish interior with comfortable seating. The wait staff is always friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. So, if you want to have the best experience in Indian dining (even if the dishes are a dollar or two more expensive), make Punjab your destination. I've been to dozens of other local Indian restaurants over the past 37 years and this is by far the best one!“
