Went to Table 6 last night as part of a 25th anniversary weekend celebration (we stayed at another historic inn in Lenox). We had been 2 years ago for dinner and it was quite good. This time we ordered the charcuterie platter as an appetizer. It was OK- had two different cheeses, procuito and some dates and crackers (no mustard, jam, honey...). Then I got the salmon with black rice and green beans. Salmon seemed ok initially but by the time I was done- it seemed very fishy tasting...
My wife and I had dinner here during the mid-week. When we arrived we were directed to the bar to have a before dinner drink. The bar was small but comfortable. After sitting for just about five minutes we were directed to proceed to the dining room. Felt a bit rushed. As with the bar the dining room is small but comfortable. There was a fire raging in the fireplace which provided a nice atmosphere. The menu is limited and expensive. My wife ordered the strip steak and I ordered...
What a lovely place for a meal. We were a group of 5 for dinner and we ordered all the main courses on the menu. They were uniformly excellent. For appetizers, the burrata went quickly as did the butternut soup. The apple dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. We wandered outside to admire the stunning sunset and made some friends near the fire pit between courses. HIghly recommended.
