We took over the restaurant for an anniversary dinner for 25 people. The food was delicious, the room cozy and comfortable, the service impeccable. Every notion I had regarding table size and placement, timing, music, and menu was willingly accommodated. It was a beautiful and luxurious party. Don’t hesitate to celebrate—or just have dinner—there.
Charming spot that brings together a relaxed atmosphere and thoughtfully prepared food (in a common house kitchen!). The seasonal menu offers a nice balance of creativity and flavor, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The true standout, however, was the olive tapenade (and I hate olives)—rich, vibrant, and incredibly flavorful. Simple, yet the depth of flavor was what made it the highlight of the meal.
We ate at the Restaurant at Doctor Sax several times while staying there for our wedding weekend. We had breakfast and dinner there, a welcome dinner buffet, and an after party of late night bites. The seasonal risotto with steak was a highlight, described as sinking the diner into "completely euphoria." The cocktails are equally impressive, beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. The "Sax & The City" cocktail was a standout, reminiscent of home in New York City. What truly sets Dulu apart is the care and attention put into every aspect, from the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the small details like local artwork and games. Dulu is not just a meal, but a complete experience that leaves visitors feeling a part of the community and with a lasting, happy memory.
