“Five stars for the bartender, Gus! We stopped in for a drink before dinner next door and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. We ended up meeting some really cool people at the bar, which to me is always the sign of a great bar.

Gus was terrific—cordial, welcoming, and just great behind the bar. I had one of the best Manhattans I’ve had in a long time.

Dulu is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully to try the food next time, but either way we’ll be looking for Gus!“

“We stopped at Bistro Zinc on a very busy evening and sat at the bar. The restaurant was packed, but the staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive.

We started with the tuna tartare special. It tasted good, but unfortunately it didn’t have that really fresh quality you want from tuna tartare — it seemed like it may have been assembled earlier and refrigerated for a while before being served.

My boeuf bourguignon was excellent — rich, tender, comforting and easily the highlight of the meal. The fried pork special was beautifully crisp, but unfortunately much too salty.

Overall, we really liked the lively atmosphere and friendly service. A couple of dishes missed the mark, but the boeuf bourguignon was absolutely delicious and I would happily order it again.“

“Amici is a gem! We discovered it only just now, while looking for a place that could accommodate a party of seven on short notice, in the high season of summer. The food was delicious; the Caesar salad, truffle fries, and chicken parmigiana were especially good. And the service was wonderful, both friendly and efficient—which we appreciated with two hungry kids in the party. Speaking of kids, Amici is very family-friendly. They made a kid-size lasagna for our seven-year-old—which he finished, and that was great (because he’s finicky). We will definitely be back!“
