“Delicious family meal on Wednesday night. The chicken marsala was the best I have had. Shannon did a fabulous job with a pretty busy night”
“What an amazing restaurant in the most ideal location in Lowell. Today was my first time having entered the beautiful location and had take out. I can without a doubt state that my husband and I will be coming in and be patrons because of the friendly service, unique style, and most definitely the fresh ingredients used in their menu. Thank you for helping me on a stressful day and so happy I finally came in!”
“Wonderful venue to enjoy great food and drinks, local music and a warm chill vibe. The bar staff and waitstaff are very friendly and attentive to your needs.”

“My daughter in law’s lovely large Khmer family really wanted to go to this restaurant! We drove from Ny and the other family members flew in from CA and drove from CT. The food was fantastic and quite flavorful. We got a real smorgasbord of various dishes that we all enjoyed. My favorites were the Khmer chicken wings-outstanding crunch and flavor (I like them better than Buffalo wings), and my absolute favorite, lemongrass chicken. Every other dish was amazing, too. We certainly want to go back here!”
“We got 2 large platters (one hot and one raw) for 4 adults. WoW. That was a lot of food. The presentation was beautiful, one on a boat and the other on a bridge. The pieces were huge and very fresh. A lot of different combinations to try. The waitstaff was so nice. Highly recommend!”
“First time visiting. We visit a lot of Mexican restaurants in and around the North Shore, and have our favorites. This is for sure a new favorite for us. The customer service at the location in Malden was excellent, our waitress was so polite, personable, and the right amount of attentive. The restaurant was spotless, I mean, SPOTLESS, including the restroom. The rest of the staff checked in, and the food was excellent.”

“Excellent food! Friendly staff and owners! Free parking lot, and handicap spaces too! What a great place. Inside a historical building with a museum, and old textile wheel. Plenty of space and seating with high ceilings. The food is authentic latin food made with care and love. We had burritos, tacos, queso dip with homemade chorizo and amazing tres leches! Everything was well seasoned and tasty. Sauces were great. Just a nice experience. We came into Lowell to see Riverdance at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, and this place was right down the road and within walking distance. So glad we found this place! Highly recommend!”
“they were so kind! I came in 30 mins before closing with out realizing until I started eating my meal. They didn't rush me at all. I did leave prior to closing. I appreciate the good food and friendly atmosphere and kind staff. thank you! -Megan and service dog zorro”
“Decent option for large portion lunch specials.
Been in Lowell quite a bit lately and stopped by twice to try their lunch specials. Both times, I was the only person dining in, though there were a few takeout orders going out. The owner was super friendly and while the restaurant seemed like a single man operation, everything came out quick.
The food. The portions for most dishes were easily double what I’d expected from a typical appetizer/ lunch specials. Unfortunately, the overall quality was subpar. Some small plates, like the spare ribs, were clearly reheated in the microwave, and the excess moisture from the thawing process was clearly visible on the bottom of the plate. General Tso’s chicken had thick and soggy breading and very little meat, which made it a carb-heavy bite. Since it had been fried and frozen beforehand, it tasted almost identical to one of those frozen Chinese chicken plates from grocery stores. Thankfully, the pork belly dishes held better even after freezing. Both the garlic chili pork belly and the double cooked pork belly were genuinely enjoyable.
Overall, better than food-court Chinese, but not quite on par with average Boston Chinese restaurants. Lowell’s Chinese food scene is pretty underwhelming, so it might be worth a stop if you’re looking for an inexpensive yet filling meal.”
“Oh My Gods! This place! Came here with a friend who has celiacs and what a find. The food is incredibly flavorful, the portions are amazing, the Lavender coffee is amazing, and the current soup of the day is Chefs kiss!! Amazing, overall I recommend it to everyone!! Will most certainly be returning.”
“Used to live right off of Gorham street and would have Georges weekly! Miss it! Go out of our way to get take out there now. Great customer service always and friendly staff. Everything is delicious from the steak or chicken kebab dinners that rice with the red sauce, to the steak and cheese subs.. seriously THE BEST!”

“this was my favorite place before and cant wait to get back. just found out open again.”
“Have always enjoyed our trips to the IV Seasons. Haddock is excellant as is their beef pot roast, (2 of my favorites! Comfy atmosphere, great wait staff !”
“We visited this restaurant for the first time today and had an excellent lunch. Everyone was pleased with their choices including the appetizers. The potato skins were my favorite. We all sampled their delicious deserts, too. We were a large party and had an excellent server who allowed us to take our time and visit. Their outdoor seating looked beautiful so hope we can go back and try dining outside.”

“What a beautiful night Penny and her crew hosted last night for the Lowell performing arts center at Smith Baker. Elevated flavorful food coming out of that tiny kitchen by Chris and his team , was blown away impressed. The bartenders on point and attentive to every need. Atmosphere with a full house perfection . A super big thank you for a memorable successful event . Bruce”
“Big thanks to the service by the two women who stopped a fraudulent order from my hacked Grubhub account and then also processed the refund after Grubhub initially wouldn't. Glad I called you before you started the order! Also, if the manager or someone would like to message me, I would like to Venmo them each a tip for their help. Saved me $56. Just mention Nick from Wisconsin and they'll probably remember it. Next time I'm in the Boston of Nashua area I'll have to stop by!”
“I never comment or post about a restaurant, however since eating here I cannot stop thinking about it. Friendly staff, amazing drinks, and live music that was good and not so loud you couldn’t hear the staff or other members in your party speaking. The jerk chicken alone is enough of a reason to visit this place. I highly recommend Sahel to anyone, even if it’s just for drinks and an appetizer.”
“Last Friday afternoon had Friendly service delicious food . The cook came out to ask how me and my kids food was and asked if we needed anything friendly staff def planning on going again 😊”
“so so good, been wanting to try and now we need to come back and try more. service and food was outstanding”

“Haven’t been here for 20 years and wanted to try it again. Wonderful experience. Friendly staff and Gino our server was great. Food was excellent .Mom and I each had the lamb garnish -highly recommend. Definitely coming back.”
“I had a party yesterday for about 50 people. I was worried about ordering Afro food for all my guests because I had a very diverse group. To my surprise, everyone LOVED the food and praised the food as one of the best foods that they have had. The food was amazing. Thank you Chef Munah for making my celebration memorable. Thanks”
Takeout Restaurants
“This is the most unassuming restaurant I have ever been to. Once you're inside, you are family. It is almost like someone opened up their kitchen and living room, set up some tables and chairs, TV is blaring in the back, and someone cooks up some food for you. The hospitality cannot be beat. They will make sure you have everything you need and take good care of you. The food is amazing. So comforting and delicious. Even their regular hot tea is ridiculously good. It is special and glorious. Keep in mind that it is Cash Only. We will be back for sure.”
“Two years ago I switched my allegiance from Haute Coffee in Concord, MA to Nibbana Cafe in Lowell. While the coffee at Haute is indeed very good (Counter Culture beans, not local), I find the staff there a bit impersonal. Seating is also quite limited. Nibbana has equally good coffee (if not better, which is really saying something), provided by Tiny Arms, a local roaster. There is plenty of seating and parking at their location at Western Avenue Studios. The coffee is generally light-to-medium roast and they offer an array of interesting, unusual coffee drinks (I only drink espresso, straight, so I can't comment on those). At the time of this review, they have been cranking out lots of new food items. The staff is extremely friendly, always offering a welcoming smile and an enthusiastic "Enjoy!" when I pick up my order. The owners truly live by what Buddhists call "right living". They are very community-focused, and it shows. If you haven't checked out Nibbana, you're really missing out on a special place.”

“Oh my! We asked our front desk clerk at our hotel , Sonesta Select, for a good place to eat. Before I could finish the sentence she told me Cameo Diner. Holy Smokes! I am so very glad I asked! Wonderful food, excellent service, fair prices, quintessential Boston. It’s really is like Cheers! Everyone knew everyone and made you feel like they knew you, as well! If you are in Lowell, do yourself a favor and eat here! We had breakfast and like I said absolutely amazing place to eat.”

“5 stars but they dont have ANY WAY to order a combination of sushi rolls unless you order from the lunch menu during the 4 hours a day that its available. Like, come on guys just take the Lunch Menu version and add $2 to it like every other place does, im sick of walking to Mandarin it's like a whole half street farther away lol”
“We came here for dinner once with family. We got a couple types of the baos, and different ramen. The homemade dumplings were a crowd favorite, although the serving is a bit small for the price. The pork belly bao was good, I just don't think I'm a fan of the pork belly texture. We preferred the roasted duck bao. The ramen itself was good. Although we all got different kinds, the flavors were all very one-note. The broth was creamy and rich. The noodles had a good bite. We haven't been back since, and I don't know that we would. I have recommended it to others for date night!”

“The Coffee Mill Emporium is truly one of those rare places that feels like home the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the kind of genuine friendliness you find here is something you don’t come across often. Pina and Veronica are the heart of it all. They not only make incredible coffee, they make every visit feel personal. They always remember the locals’ orders, greet you with a smile, and somehow manage to brighten even the toughest mornings. Their kindness, consistency, and authentic care for the community make this place stand out in the best possible way.”
“What a hidden little gem. Had the carne do sol sandwich and it was as delicious as it looked! Shredded beef had so much flavor and the garlic sauce was just the right touch. House coffee was well made as well. But the shining star here was Mary. What a pleasure and an asset to this place she is! She made our visit worth a second visit coming soon!”

“Typical bodega, English is limited but the staff is very nice. If you can't speak Spanish- you can point to what you want and tell them the size. You can look at the menu and combo plates to have an idea what you want to order before you get in line. There's usually a lunch and dinner rush. Street parking is very limited. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. We've also got catering from here before when we have family over. Our usually go to is fried chicken, yellow price and beans, carne guisada (beef stew) , pollo guisada (chicken stew) chicharron (fried pork belly) , fried plantains, assorted empanadas and habichuelas guisada (stewed beans). The best beans in town! This is actually a bodega/grocery store where there's also Hispanic groceries and specialty products available for purchase. Great hole in the wall establishment! Support local business.”
“First, I'd like to say I tried contacting Charlie's before I went this route. I didn't get a response. I've been to Charlie's with a group of 8 for lunch. It was very good. We got what we ordered and everything was delivered together. On Friday, 4 of us went there for food and drinks before the Folk Festival. Okay, Corona, I asked for lime. Didn’t get it. No biggie. Two of us ordered hamburgers, one ordered a tuna sandwich, the 4th haddock. Nope, no haddock. Okay, sirloin tips. Nope. Country chicken. Nope and don't know what it is. Okay....I'll have a hamburger. 15 minutes after (mind you 25 minutes have already passed), sorry. no buns. How about white bread! 40 minutes after initial order, hamburger on white bread and something resembling a tuna sandwich (?) arrives. We felt sorry for the waitress. But definitely poor service. I'm sorry I have to post this, I like helping local businesses, but lack of listed items was horrible.”
“Got 3 drinks, all were very good and high quality.
Coconut iced coffee, strawberry smoothie, and green tea lemonade were all 10/10.
The sandwiches were good too.
For the coffee if you like it strong, you will love their ice coffee. If you don't like strong maybe it's not for you.
Overall it was very good, drove all the way from RI.”

“Rizzo’s is my go to place for takeout. They have a wide variety to choose from. Their food is very good, and the delivery service is fast and friendly. The last couple of times,I got a surprise with my orders. The piece of chocolate cake this time was very much appreciated. Love Rizzo’s.”
“Just wanted to thank you today. My daughter got a drink and I got the mango one. We also got 6 macaroons. The macaroons where so good, and fresh!! They where not dried out. My favorite was the pistachio and coconut. Thank you very much for explaining the drinks and not making us feel rushed. Thank you again.”
“Took a quick little stroll during lunch downtown lol I was in the area. Was walking downtown looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat and stroll by Banis restaurant and was able to grab some of their Spanish rice loaded up with some chicken sauce and couplebarbecue barbecue ribs. The ribs were a little dry, but very flavorful and the rice was on point! I definitely stop again for a quick cheap meal.”
“Love the soup, preferably the chicken. Amazing, warms the belly and flavorful. Taste like home, and always a go to when I’m not feeling my best. The owner and employees are so kind, attentive and quick. I come with my family often and we love it here, always welcomed with open arms. ❤️”
“Awesome first time experience and very fast service, our waitress was great and they were all dressed up for Halloween 👻 🎃”

Special thank you to woman behind the bar, so friendly and welcoming!”

“Wings and spring rolls were delicious. Best wings I've ever had. No prices on menu, only photos of dishes. Asked ahead of ordering. Overcharged by $12. Mentioned and a portion of charge removed. Too lazy to argue any further. Will go back, but making sure of prices by asking wait staff to write it down.”

“Ice cream and cheese is a combination I never would have experienced if it wasn't for Bogati. The staff was very welcoming and was able to help us in English when we ordered. The resturant is beautiful and very clean. They have a selection of ~8 ice cream flavors to go with their cones or sundaes!”
“Extraordinary dining experience, delightful and knowledgeable service, and great atmosphere. I am so pleased by the experience.”
