Phnom Leap Deli Plus is a welcoming local family business known for its delicious and fresh sandwiches. Every sandwich is made with fresh ingredients and that crunchy bread everyone loves. The baguette isn't super crispy like others but is still crispy with an airy texture and doesn't leave a huge crumble mess. The sandwiches are constructed with the perfect amount of ingredients. Popular choices include the regular Bahn mi, the BBQ beef Bahn mi, and the unique jai quai bahn mi, which is made with crispy, non-oily fried dough and has a huge filling to bread ratio. The flavor is so good it might be a reason to buy two.
Beyond sandwiches, the deli offers an excellent selection of beverages and desserts. The taro smoothie is delicious and extra taro-y, available with fresh taro. The iced coffee and sugarcane drink are also highlighted as some of the best. For dessert, warm little lye rice dumplings (kee chang) are available, great dipped in sugar, brown sugar syrup, or red bean paste.
The service is excellent, warm, and welcoming. The owner prepares amazing Bahn Mi's with a smile, offering an integration of French and Asian flavors as good as any found in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia.
