Last night I brought my family to Priya Indian Cuisine in Lowell for a colleague's son's first birthday party. I'd never been before. Walking in, I was delighted by the scents of the many spices and the soft background of Indi-pop playing. The event was held in a function room that was perfect for the gathering. I enjoy good Indian food and this restaurant delivers great flavors. They have catered a few work events and everyone loved it. I had to remove a star because it's not much of a place to eat at. It's in the basement and feels very dank. Too bad as the food is great. I hope they can do some work on the feel of the place because it doesn't reflect their efforts in the kitchen.

We usually order out here. I usually avoid ordering dosa since it doesn't stay as crunchy, but if you are going to dine-in, all their dosas and sambar are amazing. We also love their tandoori dishes. Chicken tikka masala and the crunchy gobi are a must.
