“This Dave’s hot chicken location has an amazing atmosphere. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon looking for something quick to eat. The lady at the register took our order really quickly and our order came was ready in no time. I love the art on the walls which enhanced my dining experience. Overall this location is amazing and sanitary.“

“Randomly stopped in at lunch time as I was passing by. Food was terrific and service was friendly. I got the small plate (chicken) original style. It was served quickly. The chicken as well as the sides were very tasty. Amazing potato salad. Well priced meal at $14. I don’t get to that neighborhood often, but would stop again if I do. I didn’t get oysters, but they are Wellfleet’s - the best around.“

“Swung by on a lackluster shopping trip to the mall here, and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Portion sizes are generous, sides are shareable, and the taste is absolutely amazing. I went all-in on the "Chicken & Two Pigs" sandwich for $16, and every aspect of the sandwich was perfect:* The cutlet was crispy and tender, with an excellent seasoning that was salty and a little sweet* The pulled pork practically melted in my mouth alongside the cheddar cheese* The brioche bun was buttery and fluffy, but didn't fall apart was the sandwich got progressively messier during consumptionIf you're in the area and have a hankering for meat, you honestly can't go wrong here. Highly, highly recommended.“

“What I love the most about this place is that I was able to enjoy the whole sandwich without pieces of it falling apart. We all know the stages of grief when it comes to eating a fried chicken sandwich, but, they defied it! Thin and crisp cutlets, with a toasty yet moist and buttery brioche - it doesn't even need more. But, they went a step further with options like Nashville hot, sweet heat (strongly recommend) and one with generous slabs of crisp artisanal bacon. But, they didn't overdo it. There was no tsunami of sauce to ruin the bun, there was no hot oil spewing out of the folds of golden breading. This sandwich was made with airtight execution. The size of the sandwich could easily be shared if you had any semblance of self-control, but I wouldn't recommend it. The lot was pleasant to dine at, lots of low key people enjoying tantalizing meal choices. I will be back in a flash;. Don't hesitate to eat here.“

“We are visiting from Chicago and stumbled upon Al’s and wow so glad we did. We’ve been in town for (4) days and have visited Al’s twice. We will grab some to go sandwich’s before we depart as well. Can’t get enough of the fresh bread & toppings, quick and friendly service and the value is unbelievable! 10 inch sub, chips & drink for $13.00! Top notch sandwich place!“

“It's my offices favorite place for lunch for a reason!!! Absolutely the best subs downtown. We usually get small which is normal sized but if you want a whopping 16 inches go for the large for just $2 more. So reasonably priced and quick. Highly recommended getting your sandwich with the works (everything). Come and it may look empty but blink at noon and everyone and their mother shows up.“

“With my love for spicy fried chicken, when I discovered this place, I made it a point to stop by next time I was in the area. Fans will know about my adventures and misadventures with spicy food. Can we just have nutrition labels list Scoville units in addition to the usual macros and micros? Not wanting to turn into a fire-breathing dragon or the big bad wolf, huffing and puffing through my meal, I went for a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. While not the greatest fried chicken I'd had (that title stays with Dave's), I've no complaints about the chicken itself. It was cooked nicely, and appropriately crisp and tender. The chow-chow (pickled vegetable relish) was a unique touch, and the lettuce added some welcome freshness. The bayou sauce was pleasant, also. I found everything to be mostly well-balanced, though I personally would have loved a little more lettuce. There's just one 'little' detail: the heat. If there was any spiciness, it was fully imperceptible to my palate. So much so I confirmed with the kitchen it was, in fact, a Nashville hot. Not wanting to be "that guy" I didn't send it back - but 100% going for at least an "Angry Bird" next time. For some final notes: - Value was excellent at ~$12 for a rather large sandwich. - Fries were fine, no complaints and nothing to write home about. - Service was polite and reasonably quick. - Location was clean, and only the paint needed a little touch up. Thus: while not the GOAT in my opinion, a very solid and respectable chicken shop!“

“The sandwich was fantastic! In the end that’s what counts. I gave it 4 stars because this is a lunch place in an industrial center… and it took well over 20 minutes to get the most basic sandwich they offer. And the place was only 25% full at the time. It was way too long to wait for a lunch crowd. Tighten that up and they are awesome.“

“I had the shake it nuggz twice. Both times it taste so good. The sauce has a nice little spice to it. Also, the sauce that comes on the side is so good. The French fries were nice and thin. Overall I loved the food. The women taking orders could be more pleasant maybe even learn how to greet people. The location is great in the heart of downtown busy work area. You could also walk from South Station. Some days are busier than others. I’ve gone in two different days. You can also order in advance.“

It's this sauce, the "Angry Style" kicker, that will set your taste buds ablaze, in the best way possible.Despite its heat, the dish is remarkably well-balanced, with the sweetness of the waffles serving as the perfect counterbalance to the intense spice of the chicken. “Best fast food place ever! The chicken sandwich and waffle fries there is heavenly and should cost a fortune for how good it is I definitely suggest it for anyone who likes chicken because it's better than homemade and any other chicken I tried, and also the service is great all the staff say my pleasure and are quick and nice. The atmosphere is a little crazy with the amount of kids swearing and doing dumb stuff and it's hard to find a table but it's not their fault because it is a food court but other than that it's amazing definitely deserves 5 stars and I highly recommend Chick-fil-A to anybody who stops bye the mall.Vegetarian options: Do not suggest to vegetarian I didn't see any chicken free options there I mean it is called Chick-fil-A for a reason.Kid-friendliness: Depends on who's at the tables because there could be teens swearing or being crude but it is a food court so you can't really complain.“
