“One of the most flavorful meals I’ve ever indulged in! Love the vibes there, and that everything is healthy and organic. Impressed that the prices weren’t too high either! Was just traveling through Salem on vacation in September & glad I found this place. Highly recommend. “God bless this place. I'm a Puerto Rican that longed for Spanish breakfast in Boston, with as close to the taste of the island food as possible. Their $9/$10 Versailles sandwich taste like what I grew up eating (I would remove the Dijon mustard next time but it did enhance the flavor) and their $5
coffee is soft not dangerously strong and it's so affordable !! I will be coming here more often!! The ambience is peaceful too“

“The Juicery is my favorite place in Salem and my favorite acai bowls ever! The smoothies and acai bowls are large and perfect consistency. Everything is made fresh and never has that defrosted/icy feel. The staff is very friendly and even greets me by name. “Review: A Confusing Experience on a Rainy Day
On a rainy day, I recently visited a local place called "Toasted Flats" with high hopes for a cozy meal, a warm drink, and a bit of respite from the dreary weather. While the coffee I ordered was soothing, my experience quickly became puzzling and frustrating.
I had ordered a toasted flatbread, something I was really looking forward to. However, to my surprise, the woman serving me informed me that I wasn’t allowed to eat my flatbread. I could drink my coffee, but apparently, eating my meal was not permitted. She mentioned that the establishment had been open for eight years, which made me wonder how a place could be licensed to sell food but somehow not allow customers to eat it.
At first I thought she was joking with me, quickly realized she was not.
The whole situation left me confused, as it seemed like a bizarre, contradictory policy. How can a place sell food, but then restrict your ability to consume it? It felt like a strange contradiction.
While I can appreciate a business's need for rules and regulations and licensing, this experience left me scratching my head. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon, and it certainly didn't leave me with the warm, welcoming feeling that a rainy day meal should. Maybe next time, I'll do more research and find a place that will let me eat my food in peace, rain or shine.“

“This place is absolutely refreshing and a sight for sore eyes! In an ocean full of junk foody places in downtown, it's so nice to see a place of healthy smoothies and raw organic foods. I was happy to find them by accident after visiting an office upstairs so I decided to try an acai bowl! I usually make acai bowls at home and the one I tried here was SO original and delicious (the avocado bowl with lime,hemp seeds, and Himalayan salt) that I would definitely eat it again. I want to try everything from here!!! It's a bit pricey, hence the 4 stars, but totally worth it!! Also the toasts seem super delicious, can't wait to try one. They even have a choice for paper vs. plastic straws, hopefully the plastic ones are gotten rid of soon. Staff are super nice and friendly!“

“I moved out of Boston 20 years ago, however, one thing a true Bostonian from Roxbury can never forget is The Silver Slipper. A staple in the Dudley area when it comes to breakfast, The Silver Slipper is one of the few restaurants who still make everything homemade.
As I was visiting my father, he advised he was ordering from The Silver Slipper and I had to get my order in. As I had a full day ahead of me, I didn’t want anything too heavy. I opted for a protein based meal and ordered the Spicy Beef Sausage with Wheat Toast.
Calling the order in was simple and straightforward. The young lady who answered was pleasant and efficient. She took our order, repeated it back to us and closed out with the time expectation and a see you soon.
Upon arriving, the restaurant wasn’t crowded so it was easy in and easy out. The order was accurate and ready as advised. We confirmed everything was present, grabbed a few condiments, paid, and was out the door.
As you will see by the pictures, this is REAL SAUSAGE. All these years later and The Silver Slipper is still holding it down.
The sausage was fresh and super spicy just like I like it. The burn on the sausage was perfect and made the bites even more flavorful and textured. The toast was perfectly toasted and non-buttered which was perfect as the sausage had its own grease. As soon as the sausage hit the bread, it nestled into the toasty goodness and they became exactly what I needed to get the day started.
Shout out to The Silver Slipper for their tenure and quality of food. We the People of the Boston Foodie World Appreciate You!!“
