Idle Hands Craft Ales Brewery • $
89 Commercial St, Malden

“Great vibe and lots of board games to entertain. We were a large group and easily got a place here on a Saturday evening.I would like the beer menu to be more diverse, strongly IPA based. Nothing on the food menu. They had a pop up food stall. Nothing for the vegetarian. Pop corn on their menu was packaged one and was selling for $8. I think that’s pricey. They do encourage you to order food from outside though. However, some finger food on the menu would be ideal.“

Faces Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
50 Pleasant St, Malden

“I usually only come here for dinner and I'm glad that I finally stopped for brunch. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the following: Chicken and Waffles, Hangover Burger, Margherita Pizza, and Gluten free breakfast pizza. The chicken and waffles offer a great blend of sweet and salty with a large portion of chicken. The burger looked delicious and the pizzas were both amazing. I also ordered the Progression beer which was a tasty NEIPA. I love that they kept the decorations of the bank with the vault and the chandeliers. Especially cool how the vault can be used as a private dining room. The server was attentive and checked up on us often. Glad I was able to try this place for brunch. Hoping the White Bronco cans make a come back!“

“Great spot for the area! Trendy, bright, and eclectic. Doubles over as a coffee shop before 4 (at least on weekdays). Wide range of beer options, from New England IPAs to barrel-aged options (barleywine and a millet ale were on tap recently). Friendly, inclusive staff. Chill or meet up with friends.“

Distraction Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
2 Belgrade Ave, Roslindale - 10.09 miles

“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“

“Trillium never disappoints on beer but, in the past, I have had a bad experience with the food. Over the few years the food has drastically improved and is now very good. With their great food, great beer and family friendly environment, I think it's hard to not have a good time here.“

“I love this place. It's the place to go to chill with friends and have a good time. It's not too big place. You may feel like your friend's home to hang. I love it so much. The staffs are so kind which might make you feel like home. The beers are so good and sure you would be tipsy easily by tendering and caring of the staffs. I would be back here for food which I did not try this time“

BearMoose Brewing Company Brewery • $$
1934 Revere Beach Pkwy, Everett - 1.72 miles

“What a great brewery! I was looking for somewhere to play darts that's family friendly (what an oxymoron), and this is your best bet in the greater Boston area. The dart board is on the opposite end from most of the arcade games (though the basketball game nearby does make a good racket when in use) and there's very little competition for the sole dartboard even on a Sunday afternoon when the brewery is pretty busy. Plus, the dog friends you'll inevitably find from fellow customers are a perk :)“

Drop Zone Brewery and Taproom Brewery • $$
6 Michaels Mall, Winthrop - 5.36 miles

“Best wings I've had in the greater Boston area. The cheese curds are delicious. Tots were perfect, and the burgers are huge and delicious. Oh yeah, they brew great beer too. Got their Schwarzbier at a local liquor store, best one I have ever had outside of Deutschland. Their house red is great, and the hazy IPA growler I got was delicious. All in all, will be heading back, and I hope they're looking to open on Tuesdays.“

Samuel Adams Boston Brewery - Jamaica Plain Brewery • $
30 Germania St, Boston - 7.86 miles

“Fun tour, we did it early morning. Needless to say, we had a good buzz by noon. Tour guides are awesome and friendly. At the end of the tour, they give you beer to sample. You get to keep your sampling cups, very cute. We had the privilege to sample 3 or 4 beers, I don't remember. There is also a gift shop and a "bar" where you could drink, not included in the tour. I would highly recommend this tour while in Boston.“

Been a few times when they were just working with a convection oven slinging Sicilian slices, and I was super pumped to hear that they were expanding in space and menu. The dough is top notch and the toppings are inventive, fun, and super taste. Also, don’t sleep on the sandwiches— the Italian hero means business!!“

Medford Brewing Company Brewery • $$
30 Harvard Ave, Medford - 3.46 miles

“In the quaint and serene neighborhood of West Medford, a truly remarkable gem has emerged - the Medford Brewing Company. From humble beginnings as a passion-driven venture by two dedicated individuals, this brewery has transcended its basement origins, blossoming into a harmonious sanctuary for beer aficionados. Nestled on 30 Harvard Avenue, the former home of Smooth Automotive, it has transformed the local landscape, infusing life and vigor into a neighborhood yearning for a place of its own.As I stepped into this enchanted realm of hops and libations, the air seemed to tingle with anticipation, for what lay ahead was not just a brewery, but a place where the community comes together. Medford Brewing Company has curated an exceptional assortment of brews that cater to the discerning palates of its patrons. From the coveted and rarely brewed Barley Wine Beer, a testament to their innovation, to the crisply enticing Session IPA with its delightful citrusy notes, each sip is a symphony of flavors, a celebration of craftsmanship.Their American Pale Ale, a true delight, strikes the perfect equilibrium between hop forwardness and subtle charm, setting itself apart as an exemplary brew in its own right. Yet, it is their Mustang Lager that captured my heart, a refreshing and invigorating masterpiece that is the very essence of summer personified. With each sip, it left a tingling sensation on my palate, an elixir that rekindled memories of carefree days and sunlit afternoons. While Medford Brewing Company does not yet boast a full-fledged menu, they encourage guests to bring their own food, inviting them to curate their culinary experience. A symphony of flavors awaits as one relishes delectable fare amidst the company of friends, old and new, in a testament to camaraderie and community. The brewery's ambiance is a tapestry of excitement and delight. Trivia nights, a splendid fusion of intellect and amusement, charm the weekday evenings, while Fridays bring forth a crescendo of merriment with food op-overs and live music. Each visit is a testament to the brewery's commitment to elevating the communal spirit, drawing locals together in jubilant revelry.Medford Brewing Company has become the soul of this serene neighborhood, injecting vibrancy into a place where life had meandered at a leisurely pace. With this emporium of taste and conviviality, locals now have an exquisite haven, eliminating the need for excursions to distant boroughs (cue to Cambridge and Somerville) for a taste of beer nirvana. In conclusion, Medford Brewing Company is an extraordinary culinary odyssey, an escapade into the realm of finely crafted beers and heartwarming camaraderie. The symphony of flavors dancing on the palate, the camaraderie that fills the air, and the warm embrace of community make every visit a cherished memory.I wholeheartedly bestow a resplendent five-star rating upon Medford Brewing Company, an experience celebrating the spirit of craft and conviviality.“

Break Rock Brewing Brewery •

“My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Break Rock Brewing. It was an absolute hit! We are huge brewery people and this place was right up our alley. It is right on the boardwalk of the beautiful Marina Bay with stunning views of the marina. They reserved an area for us where we had plenty of room. They don't serve food, so we had our dinner catered by Fat Cat right around the corner. Their beers are delicious and their staff is super friendly. The planning process was incredibly easy and their event manager was very responsive and transparent throughout the entire process. They also had a live DJ and arcade games which were a huge hit! Highly recommend hosting your event here!“

“Love this new location easy to get to from my apartment and went there with a friend for dinner. Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the bomb and a must try. Also their Pina Colada was great that I ended it doing two rounds. Being on two floors there is plenty of space for big gatherings or small because on the second floor there is a room that can be closed off with a private bathroom. I already have plans to go back again soon. In total there are four bars. One on the first floor and three on the second floor.“

She is incredibly nice and we love hanging and chatting with her about new flavors coming out and what may be discontinued. Lamplighter Brewing Co. - CX Brewery • $$
110 N First St, Cambridge - 3.68 miles

“That the young man overseeing the entrance and merch counter was reading Sartre’s The Plague was a good sign. So was being located along and near the end of the Somerville Community Path, at least to this cyclist in need of a pit stop. There are three standards by which to rate a microbrewery: food, physical location and quality of beer. Since I only had time (and good sense) for one marzen lager at the bar (tasty and refreshing), and tried none of their food, I can’t rate their beer or food. However, as a place to hang out, either inside—open but small enough to seem cozy, or outside on the patio overlooking The Common, it rates a 5.“

“Night Shift at Lovejoy Wharf is a fun treat. I typically come here before a Bruins came to grab a beer and some food. Night Shift is, of course, known for their beers, and on that front, this location does not disappoint. Anyone who even remotely enjoys beer is very likely to find something on the menu- a mixture of mainstays and rotating offerings- that they will like. The menu is thoughtfully curated, and everything is decent to great. I especially like any of their baked goods, like the giant pretzel and the flatbreads. It can get extremely busy and chaotic during the TD Garden event windows, and this does impact the service and the ambience, but if you're feeling a little generous in terms of time and noise levels, you can't really go wrong in terms of a pre or post game spot for a bite and a sip.“
