“I worked with the Perkins Family for 15 years of my life! Many trips with ed jr down the cape and he has always had a passion for cooking and we had many conversations about it on our trips back n forth from the cape! I had lost touch for awhile and had heard ed jr had his own restaurant now and we had recently gone down the cape to visit my girlfriends dad at the military cemetery and we made sure we stopped in to check it out and im not surprised that his presentation and food is so good! “Had such a great time at Off the Hook until just before we left. We were enjoying the music and finishing a drink and all of a sudden we’re asked to leave our table and finish our drink at one of of the tables at the back. Have Never had that happen at a restaurant, no one was waiting for our table, we had just spent more than $200 and that’s how we are treated!!! So disappointing, no excuse and the manager really didn’t care. Would not recommend.“

“This is the seafood joint we were looking for!! Fresh fried seafood that comes out hot! Big servings for a honest price. The staff was nice and the seating was cute and decorated so fun! Has restrooms. The platter with clam strips was perfect to share. Fried scallops were amazing! Cold lobster roll was a surprise, wish it was hot but was still good! Only thing we didn’t really like was the chowder.“

“This is officially our new favorite brunch spot! Food and service are truly amazing! Scott was our server this past weekend, and he made us feel like we’d been coming here for years. We got the zucchini fritter Benedict, a Belgium waffle with fresh berries and a breakfast burrito with sausage, home fries and fresh pico de gallo. The menu had a nice selection of Benedicts - We can’t wait to go back and try them all! The zucchini fritter and crispy prosciutto complimented each other perfectly, and inspired us to crisp up our own prosciutto. What a creative twist on an old classic! The waffle had the perfect amount of sweetness and the variety of fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries) was a nice addition that gave it a little tartness. They added roasted red peppers to the breakfast burrito which really made it stand out, and we loved the fresh pico! The restaurant also has a full bar and lots of specialty brunch drinks. There is high-top seating at the bar area, as well as tables throughout the restaurant. We did not have to wait this past Sunday when we arrived at noon, but we were told it does get busy on the weekends, so there could be wait times. Prices were reasonable, which is rare nowadays, and the portions were generous. The quality and creativity of the dishes absolutely blew us away. This place is truly special! “Pretty awesome little stop. Got two fish and chips. The gentleman working there was pleasant and funny, like that quirky uncle you only see once a year at Thanksgiving.
Fish was cooked perfect, xtra thick filet, i didnt ask but i think it was cod, generous portion of fries.
Will be back to try out more of the menu and shakes.

“We went for a late lunch/early dinner today around 2:30. We were a party of 5. Four of us, it was our first time there. The hostess greeted us right away and was so sweet. She got us seated and gave my 2 kids their menus and crayons. There were only 2 waitresses on but we didn't wait too long before she came over. Plus she let us know that she'd be over in just a few minutes. We were ready to order so we ordered everything and it all came out great. The linguica pizza was really good. And we tried the bleu cheese burger & the jalapeño burger. Both were delicious!! But if you like a little spice, the jalapeño one was so so good. They have really good fries too! My oldest had ordered apple juice and didn't like it, the waitress brought her over a lemonade right away. And my toddler made a stink about there being pickles on her plate lol And the waitress grabbed them off for her then grabbed a napkin and wiped the pickle juice off her plate. After 4 hours of cycling around the area, my wife and I were looking for refreshments. In the UK we'd have passed numerous pubs in that time, but less so here in New England. Quite by chance we happened across Grumpy's and couldn't have asked for a better watering hole.
The venue itself is brimming with character and history, and there's definitely something for everyone! Pool, darts, pinball, arcade games and a wonderful host in Kevin.
The drinks seemed really reasonably priced, and I would have happily stayed all day if I could have!
There are t many places to choose from around here that have the vibe and soul of Grumpy's, and so if that's what your looking for, this is the place to be!
If we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely be stopping by!“
