“I had a horrible experience tonight at Longhorn’s steak house. I spoke to manager a few weeks to a month ago I let her know that the desert that I love so much the strawberry shortcake was drowned in the strawberry sauce so it was super sweet and not edible that manager who was a female said she was sorry and within a few days she would send me a gift card so I kept looking at my emails coming from Longhorn from my daughter and without realizing it I seen one that came from Longhorn not realizing it was from 2 years ago coming home from work late and being tired and elderly I made the mistake of thinking one of the old gift cards was the new one that should have been sent to me. I place an order and went to Longhorn, it was very crowded and I waited there for over an hour after work the manager that was there 5/9 let me know that she was too busy to be bothered with my problem that actually came from the manager not sending me the promised gift card. A waitress also made a comment to a couple that sat over to the right side that I was a complainer just fussing about something. So I left the restaurant after an hour and a half with a dry mouth no food tired and embarrassed because I was ignored this all happened because a manager said she would send me a gift card and never did. Dry disappointed in the Longhorn and I feel ignored“

“The servers and cashiers are amazing! They're really nice to customers and patient. The food is REALLY good! The bean sauces are some of the best I've had in Massachusetts which is saying a lot as I used to live in Somerville. The flan and pudding are PERFECTION, also the best I've had. They have the perfect combination of sweet and milky. The texture is smooth, not runny, not hard. The amount of sweetness is just right. I could go there everyday just for the flan! The meat is also very, very good, though it's sometimes a bit salty, but always delicious.

The price is quite reasonable. And I honestly just enjoy getting lunch here a few times a week when I get to work from home. It's been the highlight of my last few weeks since I've moved back to Massachusetts from Connecticut.“

“The BBQ sampler and Brisket plate were both excellent. It took a little while for the food to be served, but very much worth the wait. Both the sampler and the brisket plate offered generous portions, prepared perfectly using quality cuts of meat, with very good rubs and BBQ sauce. The included sides were also very nicely flavored and freshly made. A corn bread muffin accompanied each meal. Our server was attentive, friendly and unrushed while at our table. This was our second visit to Slater's and again we were very pleased with everything.“
