“Pressed Cafe on Needham St is one of the only places in Newton where you can get a hearty breakfast bowl or burrito around 6 AM. One major benefit I found is that they also have extensive gluten-free options!

They are well versed and responsive to allergy concerns, as this morning I asked if a particular item had gluten in it. The cashier then took the time to check the allergen booklet to see if there was any concern. There was not. I am very thankful for that cashier because they displayed a discipline and hard work when some Pain In The Butt Customer is asking about allergy concerns. I appreciate that!

They have a variety of foods, but I recommend any of the foods they have. They also cater to people who are Paleo eaters, with a few desserts or pastries that are Paleo friendly.

Personally, one of my favorites is their cold brew coffee with light coconut milk. It is a George Howell brand rocket fuel that is flavorful and even craved on a winter morning. There chia pudding is adorned with fresh cut fruit, jam, and peanut butter, giving it a variety of flavors. Their GF sandwiches and wraps are ample.

Pricewise, you may find comparable options if you can wait until 7 or 8 AM, but Pressed Cafe is hard to beat if you're an early bird and want consistent high quality foods. If you can't make it to the Newton area, make sure to check their website. They are located around the greater Boston area, too!“

“Maha is a cute little smoothie and bowl shop! I love their build your own smoothie options and bowls. They are fresh and always taste so good. I’ve been to both Norwood and Franklin and haven’t been disappointed. The ladies that work there are sweet as well. Definitely give them a try!“

“Absolutely the best milk tea I've ever had, I always get two drinks because one isn't enough. The staff are always kind, friendly, respectful, and fast. I never find myself waiting too long and the drinks are always made perfect! I wish they'd put a Kung Fu Tea closer to where I live! It's excellent and I'm obsessed!!“

We discovered them this past spring and ever since have been taking weekly (sometimes 3x a week!) trips here because we love the shakes, teas, and service so much! “Delicious smoothie! Got the lean machine and added peanut butter. Even more impressed with the 2 employees working, Michael, and another young lady whose name I didn’t catch. They were professional and worked diligently and as a team under pressure. There was a pretty decent line and on top of it, some middle school kids who were likely dropped off by their parents came in harassing Michael and demanding his name. The young lady working with him reminded them they’re not worth it and to just focus on the work. Both the product and integrity of the staff was top tier and I commend these hardworking staff members for their professionalism during an irritating run in. Thanks tropical cafe!“

Favorites include the Diavolo (for those who like spicy food), chocolate-banana and many kinds of fruit smoothies, their take on caesar salad, and panini. Haven't tried their fresh pasta yet! Take out or dine in (wish this place were here when my kids were younger). I've often been able to park right in front or on Weston near the firehouse.“

“I have been going to Bagels Best since I was a kid with my grandfather every morning after I slept over. They have had the best bagels by a long shot and I have traveled across the state to get their bagels, breakfast bagel, and smoked salmon which is spectacular! “Stayed here for about two hours in between business meetings. Product is just what I've come to expect. Good coffee. My only complaint was there was a cold breeze in the lobby even though the doors were closed. Probably coming from the HVAC and it didn't matter where I sat, the cold air was moving pretty good. After a while I was able to ignore it. There was barely anyone inside, so maybe the HVAC is set to a setting expecting more people inside putting off body heat, which is typical for many Starbucks.“
