I have been going here since I was a little girl. After about a ten year gap due to moving we came back near home and George’s was one of my first stops last summer. My husband and I faithfully drive one hour weekly to get a lobster roll and some clam cakes and strips. This place does not disappoint and I am counting down the weeks until they reopen in March.
The first time I went to visit the Redwood was the early 80s; it's now known as George's Surf and Turf. I had never had an eastern fried whole clam and scallop basket before. Food is quite inconsistent. Service isn't the fastest. Food is still good, though. Stick with their seafood--it's better. I also like the outdoor vibe, it's quite nice to eat food outside.
