“As a former Memphis guy and KCBS Certified judge.. I can say, while Texas BBQ, it is truly the best BBQ I've had in the North, not just New England. The servers work as a tandem helping each other, and I've only seen that at this level at Houston's... Google it. Met the owner, who is very kind and I formative. Wait staff are amazing and attentive. Brisket was competitive level great. Chicken thigh was very tender, beans were great, Mac and cheese was good.. but the atmosphere was authentic and enjoyable. I will be back.“

“Really friendly, wonderful staff. All lady bartenders, which is nice if you are a lady and you want to go out. They have great pub comfort food and lots of weekly events, like raffles. Lovely pool tables as well. I went during a week day and it was nice and quiet.“

“Wow! If you are looking for personalized service, intimate atmosphere, carefully and meticulous dishes this is your place! Two cocktails, two appetizers, two entrees, coffee, and one AMAZING dessert for well under $100.00? The waitress was so proud of the dishes and knew exactly how things were prepared, made suggestions, checked on us several times and didn't Rus us one bit. My recommendations- Brussels sprouts Artichoke Parmesan dip with pita chips Steak frites Impossible burger -( perfectly cooked!) The chocolate cake? To die for. Don't miss this place but come early as we did or make a reservation.“

Hawks and Reed Performing Arts Center Bar • $$
289 Main St, Greenfield - 5.5 miles

“I saw Enter the Haggis at Hawkes & Reed, what a great show. Great sound. The only bad thing is no seating. My visually impaired Father usually attends ETH shows with me, Hawkes and Reed isn't very handicap friendly for a person in their 80's.“

Hotel Warren - aka The Hot-L Bar • $
13 Elm St, South Deerfield - 9.15 miles

“I love Angelica (the bartender). She makes the place vibe. The drinks are great. The regulars that come in make you feel comfortable. I'm glad they have karaoke as well. The reason for the 4 star rating... Its changed alittle. It use to be a biker bar. They don't want that label anymore. Also the cameras everywhere make you feel at unease. Don't get me wrong cameras are great but not every step you take on the property. You guys rock HOT-L!!!!!!“

Shutesbury Athletic Club Bar • $
282 Wendell Rd, Shutesbury - 8.48 miles

“If you're looking for a wonderful place to meet and share good times with an awesome community of folks, this is your spot. There's a great beer and drink selection, free pool on Wednesdays, music on weekends, delicious member- hosted dinners. It's the closest thing I know of to an honest-to-God pub - a gathering place and cultural hub for rural folks - in the US. Especially for those of us living up on the Hill in the North Quabbin area, it's the place to be.“
