I am currently sitting at Bar Yoshi during the Nantucket Stroll and Olivia is tending bar and I honestly cannot express how great she is. She was the only bartender and her service is better than places with multiple bartenders. She also very effectively dealt with rude customers with tact and courtesy. Amazing!!

My fiancee and I came here for her 30th birthday and were treated to fantastic sushi and drinks. We enjoyed the laid back and friendly service and would definitely recommend a meal here to anyone visiting Nantucket - we will be back :)

Food is delicious; bartender is awesome; front of the house is arrogant and very attitudinal: we attempted to make a reservation via Resy which kept sending us error messages; when we attempted to call we were given a number to text so we texted and also left a voicemail neither of which was answered. When we showed up there was a lot of posturing and we were told only the bar was available even though there were seven (!) tables empty which remained empty the entire time we were there.

Food and service are outstanding! Faves include piggy rice and any of their rolls - all super fresh and delicious! Best margarita on the island!

I would go back to this place every night if I could for the smoked salmon app, haha! such a fun restaurant, great outdoor/indoor vibe, and ALL of the food was phenomenal. don't miss the smoked salmon app and the dumplings! Will definitely be back on our next trip :)

Wow. What an amazing meal and amazing ambiance! Outdoor seating is the way to go at this place. The food was fantastic and the vibe made the experience that much better! Highly recommend for yummy sushi and a good time.

Incredible sushi every time! It's on Old south wharf, a shelled street right off of the harbor. It is a very cool location and a great place to sit outside on a nice day. We dine there often.

Stopped in at 0'bar for a drink before dinner....super nice, quaint, on the water vibe (even though you are inside!). Bartender was very attentive even though we were not seated at the bar! Loved this atmosphere!

Menu contains the staples you’d expect and the food was all light and nicely presented. Staff were attentive. Maybe a little bit too much as the instant I’d finish a plate it was whisked away. The food is fine but very expensive compared to the same quality and dishes in other spots. I’ve had the exact same, but larger poke bowls for £10 in London. It was also insanely loud, yelling at each other across the table to be heard. For Nantucket not the worst priced but I don’t feel it had an atmosphere to match the price point. The udon is good if you want a very light dish but as an extensive Japanese food eater, for me it was bland. Got a mocktail that tasted like sparkling water with only a splash of orange. Was unpalatable and then the price for it…

I was at Bar Yoshi for my first time today and I have to say I had a great time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had any and everything I needed. Carlos is a very entertaining and friendly bartender. His drinks met and surpassed every expectation I had. Sandy the manager came up to me multiple times to see how I was doing and if I was enjoying my stay. I would highly recommend Bar Yoshi to anyone look for a good environment and friendly staff. Thank you

From the moment we walked into Bar Yoshi, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Our martinis were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. The sushi was some of the best we’ve ever had - each piece was prepared to perfection. We were even lucky enough to meet with chef Jesse, whose charisma and passion for his craft were evident in every dish we received. Thank you, Bar Yoshi, for an unforgettable dining experience! ?

Where do I begin. My brother and I used to frequent this place when it was Sushi by Yoshi. Food was always good, but the service sucked and staff was typically rude. I've come to Bar Yoshi a few times now, and the food has actually gotten worse. For $3 for each piece of sushi(around $20-30 per roll)it's definitely not worth the price. The restaurant also throws on an additional gratuity fee, separate of the tip, without disclosing it to customers, in lieu of paying their employees. They simply slap on a fee at the end of each check, in the hopes their customers won't notice. It's not the cost of the fee that bothers me, but the fact that I am being charged for something that was not initially disclosed- that's simply unethical.Overall, considering food, service, hospitality, and prices, I wouldn't recommend coming to Bar Yoshi.

Great place with a fab location (moved from previous village locale) on wharf, but the chef is the reason for 5 stars! He's talented and incredibly accommodating, food is fresh and delicious! Bar Yoshi is totally worth the visit to the wharf and 5 stars!
