STUNNING ambiance, the food was incredible, love that it was within the same block as our hotel (The Faraway) for our first night in town! We went to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, and they gifted us champagne to celebrate! That cornbread was phenomenal- best I’ve ever had (and we live in Charleston, SC, so that’s significant)! My husband isn’t a fish lover typically, but LOVED the daily catch (branzino) - it was very flavorful and bright, and came whole and deboned...
The rating on the Pearl should be much higher. The food was amazing!! Was a very pleasant experience and I can’t wait to go back!! Love the names of some of the creative cocktails as well. Fun!
The Pearl is an upmarket American-Asian fusion restaurant. The cuisine is innovative, with fresh ingredients. Service is great. If seated indoors, the table next to the cash register is not ideal because service staff needs to go there each time they book an order. Kids are welcome but they definitely need to be prepared to try new food (there's the kids' staple of chicken fingers etc. on the menu but why go to a place like the Pearl to order something like that?).
