Needed to cancel reservation due to mother in law in hospital. I even had curtesy to call ahead and they still billed me $200 for canceling. Very poor, not so polite either, they could care less of family emergency and that we called ahead. It’s basically charging fees for services that were never given, what is this island coming to. Never again will we go here.

The best dining experience in town for me in Nantucket. My girlfriend and I had a great laugh chatting in the relaxing environment. I strongly recommend a visit here with loved ones. The staff were extremely friendly. They helped me understand the menu and patiently explain the dishes to me. I was amazed by the creativity of the menu. I loved the arctic char salmon so much that I even licked the plate, not even mentioning how it was well-represented!! We had a great time sitting outside while enjoying the ambiance outdoors. It is definitely a great memory for us.

The dishes were appetizer size and the restaurant recommends 2 to 3 dishes per person. Delicious but over priced. The dessert had caramel corn on top of a chocolate torte. The caramel corn had un popped kernels

Great dinner of several different small plates. We sat upstairs. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Too many good plates to highlight just one. Make this a stop for a nice, fun dinner out. Cocktails are awesome too!

Have visited props several times across the years when I have been on Nantucket. They have consistently delivered and I find it refreshing to discover a new menu each season but which carries through the same feeling and quality. I live in London and for this level of food (mouth wateringly, lick the plate good) and the source of the ingredients (local, prepped on site) the prices are in line with major cities. This restaurant strikes a spot between fine dining but with a relaxed and familial atmosphere. It's not budget because you are paying for the sourcing. I feel this is overlooked in some reviews. The portions are designed for sharing and trying the broader menu. The cherry snap pea salad sent me to heaven and as a vegetarian there is a great range, with vegetables not left on the back seat unlike many locations. Experienced attentive and friendly service throughout. Love how much fruit they get into dishes. Cocktails not to miss.

The service was HORRIBLE!!! I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant before in my life. I was tempted to ask for the check and leave before the food even came it was so awful. The hostess and waitress were completely disrespectful. I’ll never be returning.

Are you in the mood to spend $150 (2 main dish, 1 app & tip) and leave hungry? This is the place. Also bring a flashlight because you can’t see anything inside.

used to be amazing but complacency got the best of them. overpriced. don’t order a martini with monkey 47 gin, they’ll charge you $32 but the rest of the island will charge you $20.

This is perhaps THE most overrated restaurant in Nantucket. The menu is small and idiosyncratic. We had sliced duck, fried green tomatoes, and fried fish. Every dish was bland. When the server asked how we liked things, we told her "not very much,", she said, "Sorry," and that was that. No manager ever appeared to talk to us, nothing was done about the bill. The food is simply and totally average at best. Save your money, it's very expensive (as are all restaurants here). This review is from our dinner tonight.

This has always been one of our favorite restaurants on the island. The food is still amazing but we were really thrown off with the price increases this year. Their hummus went from 19.50 to 28.50… and most of the other small items on the menu also went up 50% in price. $29 for a simple lettuce and cheese salad. $32 for a monkey 47 martini when nautilus down the street charges $20. Felt a little offensive relative to the portion sizes.

As always we have had another delightful evening. Though the menu sometimes gives us trepidation, the dishes always deliver in taste, composition and creativity. Each dish is a masterpiece in its own way and the combination of flavors always works. Be adventurous and try something you are not sure of. We loved sand pea and cherry salad, the lentil salad, the beef tartare and the seared halloumi. We never miss the crispy sweet potatoes. All dishes are meant for sharing and are beautifully presented. Special note should be made for the Arctic Char with artichoke Ala barigoule, radish and a wonderful black garlic mousse. The fish was cooked lightly, but with an incredibly crispy skin. Cocktails are creative and the wine list has something for everyone. Service was most efficient and warm. Get their quickly
