“I had lunch with my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and the value was great for the quality.  We each had a cup of the tomato basil soup which comes with the most delicious crostini. Highly recommend it. My daughter had a spicy pasta with a pink sauce, bacon and some vegetables, which was succulent, and I had a lovely salad with grilled chicken. We were too full for dessert. While we did have a reservation, so we didn't wait at all, I think most of the time walk-ins are welcome because this is a café within a department store so people don't stay for very long.“

“We would like to give a higher rating and hope to in the future but there were several areas that could be improved:

1) My husband and I sat on the patio next to the front door. We used to come here alot when it was Petit Robert. They have done a nice job of changing it from French country bistro to modern upscale Italian, still very cozy. It was a lovely evening but it was disrupted by 2 young boys running in and out of the restaurant yelling the score to some game. They continued to yell up and down the sidewalk and climbed the lamppost. It really ruined the vibe. It was surprising that their parents (inside) nor the staff said anything to them. We could over hear the table next to us also commenting about this raucous behavior.

2. The service, although super friendly was slow. We waited for quite some time to place our order and for the bill. I never got the ice that was requested. Perhaps this is because of thr busy crowd on a Friday night.

3. The majority of our dishes were outstanding. The grilled squid appetizer was the best we have had in awhile. The squid was very tender and went perfectly well with the sliced fennel and lemon vinaigrette. My husband's wagyu dish was also beautifully executed. It was cooked to the perfect medium rare and paired nicely with the garlic sauce. Sides included lightly seasoned crispy fingerling potatoes and broccolini also cooked to perfection. I ordered the house special, lobster in vodka sauce with house made pasta. This was the biggest disappointment when the other dishes were so well delivered. The pasta was over cooked and mushy. The sauce was a bit sweet and there were only a few small pieces of lobster claw meat. This was surprising since the dish was more expensive than the wagyu. When the hostess checked in on us, she was gracious in offering to get us something else. I went with the black truffle wheel since we had seen other tables ordering it and the waitress had said it was her favorite dish there. Indeed it was incredible and did not disappoint! The pasta was not overcooked and the sauce was to die for! I loved it and would come back just for that dish alone!

When the bill came out, we assumed that they would have comped us for the lobster dish since that was what we didn't like and had sent it back despite their offering us to take it home. But instead, they had comped us for the truffle dish ($26), which was just over half of the lobster dish ($44). Seemed like a strange unprofessional practice.

Overall we still loved 3 out of 4 dishes so would still come back. Hopefully there won't be screaming kids and perhaps the wait staff would not be as slow.“

“Had a delicious dinner last night at Avenue and wish we had checked it out sooner. Amazing wine and cocktail. Tried the Brie appetizer and Avenue Flatbread, which were both delicious and unique! Spiro, our server, was so attentive and knowledgeable. Service was excellent! Wish we had room for dessert bc that also sounded great but I guess we just have to go back soon“

“Simulators are legit and it feels like you are outside playing on the actually course you've selected. It's a nice vibe and a great bar to watch games or golf on and the pizza is amazing. (get the sweet heat, it wont disappoint) They also offer leagues and spots for parties/events. If you're looking for a spot to work on your game this winter, grab a beer and watch some sports I highly recommend Birdie Bar!“

“I have been coming to the Hearth for many years...the staff is friendly, the atmosphere relaxing and comforting, and the food and beverages are from local sources, well prepared, tasty and satisfying. The owners and management have also shown a dedication to supporting the arts by encouraging local musicians to play at the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“We’ve been coming here since they opened. Their menu has evolved and it’s a go to for the Waltham/Watertown/Newton area without having to go into Boston.

The ingredients are fresh and the place is clean. Lately we’ve been going weekly for dinner and it never disappoints. Their liquor/drink selection is a great bonus as well!

“Our family of 5 were there yesterday/Thanksgiving for dinner. Our server Amanda was the best we have ever had at a restaurant. She is a gem, and they should be so happy to have her. This was our first time there, and the food was excellent. It is as good as Mooo, Capital Grille, Smith and Wolensky, and any of the high end restaurants at a lower price point. Don't hesitate to go there. You won't be sorry. Ask for Amanda to take care of you.“

We had the crab cake, beet salad, halibut and fish tacos, everything was fantastic, even the coffee with dessert was a notch above the rest!! “Got a reservation for 8 and then decided to change up the plans. Called to see if there was any way to get a table (at 6 on a Saturday night) and the Host said we could not have a dining table but they would hold a table in lounge for us and we took it. This restaurant is beautiful. The hostess was so kind and knew who we were when we walked in. We were celebrating an anniversary and that was acknowledged by the hostess, and multiple servers. They even put a cut little card on the table saying Happy Anniversary. I thought this was really cute and I've never seen that done at a restaurant before. We both got the filet mignon, cooked med well and mid-well and both steaks were cooked to perfect. Sides were French fries (so good) and mashed potatoes (also good I don't even like mashed potatoes). The bread was so good and I got the sweet and spicy margarita, which was amazing. Vanilla bean creme brulee dessert - loved! Can't wait to go back and try something else.“

“We had a wonderful experience and have returned a few times. All of our dishes were tasty except for the ninebark salad. It was delicious although for the price they were extremely skimpy with the lettuce, and I finished my salad and watched everyone else enjoy their dishes. If you charge that price point for a salad I believe you should be generous with the foundation of the dish which is lettuce.“

We also ordered the chicken and bacon rigatoni, the wings and a burger with Cajun fries. Everything was excellent. Burger made to order. Pasta perfectly cooked and everything was very well seasoned. Portions were amazing. We forgot to take pictures because we were really hungry.“

Their guacamole is fabulous. Always excellent, friendly service. Efficient and kind staff! Great eating at tables or booths or having food and drinks at the bar. This is my wife and my “go to” restaurant when we want a great meal at a reasonable price, When you waking into Kens it feel “comfortable” like it’s your own home . The wait staff are so friendly and patient. They never rush you and are very knowledgeable about the menu. The steaks are the specialty of the house. Each time we’ve had steak it was cooked yo perfection! The drink prices are reasonable and the desserts taste home made! Great place and I hope they are around for many more years!!“
