Goat, Newburyport Reviews
Came here for lunch. Our lunch took over an hour to get. Not fun with two kids. They were not busy and had empty tables. I will not be back.
Absolutely terrible service. Would not recommend. Gotta love the high top n t to the bathroom that’s all you smell.
We tried for first time memorial weekend, Food was great but they were out of a lot of alcohol . We were greeted nicely but a couple of the bartenders could have been a bit more friendly. Busy or not doesn’t mean you’re short to customers.

Goat is a restaurant in Portsmouth that offers a great atmosphere, good live music, and tasty food. The service is good, and prices are reasonable. The menu features dishes such as eggs Benedict and a bacon bucket, which is cooked to perfection. Some cocktails may be overpriced, but the food is ultimately worth the wait. With a cozy and intimate setting, Goat is a great spot for brunch or breakfast. It also has a lively nightlife scene, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, with outdoor and upstairs patios offering nice views of the river and fresh air. The restaurant has a good variety of menu options, including the ability to craft your own burger, though some found the food just "okay" in flavor and toppings. The bar is popular among young people, but service can be slow, and some drinks are served in small portions for a high price.
Recently, visitors have praised Goat for its spacious layout and beautiful harbor views. It features large windows, plenty of flat screens to watch sports, and two floors. The staff is friendly and interactive, providing quick and attentive service. The restaurant offers the same specials as other Goat locations and has Wi-Fi and well-maintained bathrooms. Customers have enjoyed the food, mentioning the bacon and spicy maple dipping sauce, the creative brisket cheese soup, and the fresh marble rye with pastrami. Many appreciate the blend of indoor and outdoor dining options, including the full pier experience without seagull mess. Overall, Goat is seen as a part of the Newburyport experience, blending in beautifully with the scenic surroundings and offering a memorable visit.
