“This morning I went to the lowest rated restaurant in my area in hopes of leaving a positive review without lying. The server was very patient with me while I assessed the menu. I eventually ordered a sugar free raspberry iced tea but he kindly told me they only had hot tea. That reminded me that it was 20 degrees outside and snowing, so hot was the better option. Upon my order, a large hot green tea was delivered to me within a minute and it was delicious. I also ordered egg and cheese on an english muffin, and he asked me whether that was all, which reminded me that I wanted sausage as well. A minute later, he delivered me the sandwich and wished me a great day! It was the best sausage, egg, and cheese I’ve ever had. Five stars!“

“I live in Bar Harbor, Maine, and one of my guests staying with us offered me a homemade bagel from this establishment. It's one of the best poppy seed bagels I've had in a long time, and the homemade chive cream cheese pairs so perfectly with the smoked salmon. It made my day eating this bagel after work. I love lox. It's one of the sweetest gifts a guest has ever given me. 💕 When I travel the coast looking at lighthouses this winter, this bagel shop will definitely be on my places to stop. Online ordering was time efficient for everyone and child friendly in a location that is generally very child unfriendly.“

“I stop here at least twice a week for bagels. I have to be honest- I heard about them on some food show and used to go to the one in the Seaport. This location though- despite being ten minutes farther off my route home- has THE NICEST STAFF EVER. Hands down. They are super friendly, good natured and the music is always great. Parking is tricky but worth the risk of a ticket. Also- PLEASE TIP the staff well- they hustle- ALWAYS.

“I wanted to share my recent experience at your establishment, as it has been weighing on my mind.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, I visited between 7:50 and 8:00 a.m., hoping to enjoy a quick breakfast before work. I approached the counter and explained to the young lady that I had come in the day before, Monday, January 5, around the same time, and unfortunately, my bagel order was incorrect. I simply wanted to ensure that this time my order would be right.

I understand that people have busy days, and when she asked why I hadn’t called or returned the previous day, I explained that I was at work and unable to be on my phone unless it was an emergency. I could sense that my request caught her off guard, which perhaps affected her response.

I wasn’t seeking a refund or anything for free; I just wanted to make sure my order would be correct. A little kindness can go a long way, and I felt that my intention was met with contempt.
I truly believe we all have our moments, and it’s important to remember that everyone has their own struggles.

As someone who has been a loyal customer for four years, it was disheartening to feel a lack of understanding in that interaction, especially when all I wanted was to make sure my order was correct this time. I know it can be challenging in a busy environment, but all I hoped for was a simple acknowledgment maybe stating, “I’m sorry that happened,” and a commitment to get my order right this time.

I genuinely appreciate the hard work that goes into running a business like this, and I hope my feedback can help foster a more supportive atmosphere for both staff and customers. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts.“

“I have been going to Bagels Best since I was a kid with my grandfather every morning after I slept over. They have had the best bagels by a long shot and I have traveled across the state to get their bagels, breakfast bagel, and smoked salmon which is spectacular! When my immigrant parents said “ Study Hard” they meant so I can live in a neighborhood that serves sandwiches like those found at Michael’s Deli. “I recommend this location for their bagels, but NEVER buy a gift card for someone who would use this location. They do not take them. Corporate says that because this is a licensed store, they can choose not to....buyer beware for here and ANY location that is licensed on a college campus, airport or mall. They apologized and have only a handful of locations in the USA that will take a gift card. 😢“

“We were looking for a new place to try croissants and coffees. We found this by their good images and except the coffee the pastry wasn’t as good as we expected. However we found the drink good and enjoyed it. Their standing kiosk is not same as the items that they really have so keep in mind to check the glass display counter.“

“I grew up in the area and have lived abroad—mostly in Europe—for the past 15 years. Over that time, I’ve become very aware of the differences in ingredients and food quality between Europe and the U.S. When I come back each year to visit family, I often find that a lot of American food leaves me feeling bloated and uncomfortable, likely due to additives, dyes, and lower-quality ingredients that I’m no longer used to.

Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is the one wonderful exception.

I’ve been coming here since high school, and it’s the place I genuinely look forward to eating when I’m back in town. I truly trust their ingredients: the food tastes fresh, clean, and well made, and it doesn’t leave me with that heavy, uncomfortable feeling I get elsewhere. The sandwiches are delicious, everything feels thoughtfully prepared, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Prices are also quite reasonable for the area, especially considering current inflation in the US.

I’ll admit that some of the desserts are total sugar bombs—but that’s probably just my now very European palate talking! For those who love a sweet treat, they’re clearly doing something right.

All in all, Blue Moon Bagel Cafe is a real gem in Medfield. I’m grateful it’s still here and always make a point to visit when I’m back about once a year. Thank you for staying true to quality and consistency all these years.“
