“I haven’t bn for ages although I know it’s the same owner who knows who’s who, I had great times in there with my father n his friends and many a nights with my friends , The IV is a Brighton treasure never any trouble and great ppl have always worked there . “This was a great pub. Very cozy and welcoming right from the start. Our primary bartender was smiles and hellos from the moment you walk in the door. We had some amazing food and drinks while visiting this wonderful establishment. I know without a doubt that this is on our list of favorites while in Boston.“

“This place was great! Lively (and quite boisterous!) atmosphere, but fun. Our waiter seemed disinterested, but the other staff were really friendly and treated us like friends. The food was good. We had the clam chowder, bangers and mash, and fish and chips. I liked that they used real British sausages for a really authentic flavor. Really pleased to have found this spot before our show.“

Divided up by Irish Whiskey style/category the list is like mini lesson in Irish Whiskey history. And do they have a great selection? YES Blended, Single Malt, Single Grain, and Single Pot Still - they have it all, and in a beautifully bound list. The Guinness is a very good pint here - 4/5 - with some grip of the head to the glass as it slides down the glass. “Honestly this place was a great relief after waiting in long lines elsewhere. No line, cover only $10 after 11 pm, music upstairs was awesome when dj played and even better when a killer live band came on. Energy was sweet. Only downside was bathrooms were pretty dirty. Recommend!“
