The food is tied with Zesty Bites in Elmhurst as the best Middle Eastern food in Rhode Island, but the vibes are totally different, so one can't cancel out the other! Al Shami's chicken shawarma is juicy and incredibly seasoned, the sauce for the salad is delicious, and the garlic sauce, peppery sauce, and hummus are incredible. The falafel is fantastic, too, and less oily than East Side Pockets, though their falafel is great, too! I always go back to Al-Shami when I miss my mamanbozorg's kabob, which is all the time. Thankfully, the prices are amazing, so I'm not breaking the bank eating here as often as I do.
