“As a restaurant professional I say this is one of the BEST brunches I have ever been to. There are pastries, seafood, breakfasts breads, breakfast meats, egg dishes, omlets made to order, carved meats and desserts. Service was prompt and gracious.“

“We came in from out of town to celebrate our son's birthday. Not much is open past 9:30pm in Amherst. On Google The Harp says it is open until 11pm. We chose this restaurant because my son worked until 9:30. We order dinner, which was delicious. We overheard a waitress say they were closing at 10pm. She clarified for us that the restaurant closes at 10pm. We were very disappointed because the atmosphere of the restaurant was exactly what we wanted to toast our son.
Overall, the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful.“

“Best bagel, egg, cheese and bacon sandwich I ever ate. Great popovers and clam chowder. We stayed at River Valley Inn for 2 days and ate at the Smithsonian Cafe and Chowder House 4x! No need to go anywhere else during our vacation! They also sell a delicious prepared Coffee Milk from Our Family Farm too!“

“One of the best in the area. I’ve had great seafood and steak here. The chowder is also amazing in a bread bowl. On the pricier side, but worth your dollars. Also a great market for fresh seafood if you’re looking to make your own at home! Highly recommended.“

“I went in yesterday with my bestie for our monthly outing. I havn't ever been before. We had drinks and a few appetizers. Everything was amazing. Great atmosphere and experience.
