“We had a wonderful meal last night at Avon Indian Grill. They were very patient with our talkative group of seven, explaining foods and spice levels. After a slight delay in the kitchen, we were brought two extra appetizers that the owner wanted us to try. And later, two desserts were brought out as well. All of the food was delicious, and everyone was able to take some home as well. The staff even played a joke on us! A great time. We honestly don’t understand why it isn’t busier. Please try it out!“
“My favorite Thai restaurant currently in the greater Hartford area. The food reminds me of my mom's cooking. I make the trip from Hartford To New Britain whenever I want a piece of home. This small quaint restaurant packs a punch and doesn't hold back on flavor. While some places water down the flavor to cater to a broader audience Mai (the owner) chefs it up as if she is in her home kitchen cooking for family. You taste the loving in her cooking. There is limited seating but when you get the chance order a few dishes with friends or family and share the meal Thai style. You can always order in advance and pick up or utilize a delivery service. You won't be disappointed. Ask for Mai (pronounced May) and tell her Ty sent you. She will make sure you're taken care of.“

“Had the privilege of eating here today. As a person who doesn’t eat out often, and loves to cook I was very impressed by this place! We went for lunch and I had the double burger with grilled veggies and my mom had the lamb gyro. They catered to my dietary needs and were very friendly. My mom said it was the best gyro she has ever had, and my burgers were so delish and cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to try their oxtail cabbage soup. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to come back when I’m in the area.“

“We were travelling back home (a couple of hours) and drove about an hour out of our way to pass by and pick up the Birkin Bag, we drove another 2 hours home and enjoyed the meal very much. “I was out running errands & found that I was really hungry, so stopped in to have some lunch. Had a hot lobster roll with fries & cole slaw. It was the best! Even had a slice of cantaloupe, honey dew & a pickle. As good as all this was, the server, Alize, was truly amazing! On her own, with a mostly full dining room, she was calm, patient, diligent, competent -- and service was fast! “Nice atmosphere not like others which can be quite loud. The owner is the host and waiter and was so helpful. For the 2 of us, we had the hot pot combo plus 1 added hot pot and it was enough. They tend to be light on the protein servings but you can add more. It was less than $70 for dinner for 2 plus 1 additional side, 1 alcoholic beverage each and an appetizer. Very affordable. My boyfriend had the spicy fries and fried pickles (he’s vegan). The lobster roll was out of this world! So delicious, warm and buttery! I was amazed at how much lobster meat they included! “Well, I found my new favorite Poke place! The atmosphere is clean and refined and gives off a nice minimalist vibe. But the food is on another level. Some other poke places charge $15 a bowl for stale ingredients flooded by sauce to compensate. Not this place. Every ingredient tastes fresh and gets its own spotlight. The spicy salmon didn't overpower any one flavor, and everything in the bowl just blended wonderfully. The texture of the rice was divine. I can't recommend the Johnny Utah bowl enough. The aftertaste of everything is fresh and pleasant, and there are so many different ways to customize your own bowl. If you're craving poke or haven't tried it, come to Poke Bros. You won't be disappointed! I know this is the first of many visits for me!“
