“This spot is a two in one. You've got a hot chicken counter and a convenience store right there for, drinks, chips, candy, and whatever else you'd need. Mo the boars head owner is the man. Easy going guy who makes compromises on products in the display cabinets. I've grabbed dinner walking home from them a few times and each time the chicken was always juicy, crunchy and they always toss in extra sauce.“
“This location tends to have fresher items then their Waterbury counterparts. My husband and I each bought a Classic Chicken Sandwich for ourselves and when I asked for "extra pickles" on mine, they delivered! The bag the sandwich comes in even had pickles in it! It was all absolutely delicious!! We also tried the strawberry biscuit and it was definitely better than the Waterbury locations I've tried, but still not gooey fresh like they show in the commercial.“
“This place was my very first experience with jamaican food, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The food here is super delicious and always has me craving it. From the jerk pork to the fried chicken, it's all top notch food. The atmosphere is great and is super homey. The service is on another level though: my personal experiences have been great anytime I go, I practically feel like family each time I go up to order. I couldn't recommend this place any less if you're looking for a new, amazing amazing experience.“
“Well, I found my new favorite Poke place! The atmosphere is clean and refined and gives off a nice minimalist vibe. But the food is on another level. Some other poke places charge $15 a bowl for stale ingredients flooded by sauce to compensate. Not this place. Every ingredient tastes fresh and gets its own spotlight. The spicy salmon didn't overpower any one flavor, and everything in the bowl just blended wonderfully. The texture of the rice was divine. I can't recommend the Johnny Utah bowl enough. The aftertaste of everything is fresh and pleasant, and there are so many different ways to customize your own bowl. If you're craving poke or haven't tried it, come to Poke Bros. You won't be disappointed! I know this is the first of many visits for me!“
“Had the privilege of eating here today. As a person who doesn’t eat out often, and loves to cook I was very impressed by this place! We went for lunch and I had the double burger with grilled veggies and my mom had the lamb gyro. They catered to my dietary needs and were very friendly. My mom said it was the best gyro she has ever had, and my burgers were so delish and cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to try their oxtail cabbage soup. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to come back when I’m in the area.“
“Whole belly fried clams are my obsession. And these are as good as any I’ve had on the North Shore or the coast of Maine! And reasonably priced. And the service was so courteous and friendly and humorous that I did something I hardly ever do… left a tip for takeout! If you love fried clams (and onion rings) you won’t be disappointed!“
“We had a wonderful meal last night at Avon Indian Grill. They were very patient with our talkative group of seven, explaining foods and spice levels. After a slight delay in the kitchen, we were brought two extra appetizers that the owner wanted us to try. And later, two desserts were brought out as well. All of the food was delicious, and everyone was able to take some home as well. The staff even played a joke on us! A great time. We honestly don’t understand why it isn’t busier. Please try it out!“
“My friend and I stumbled upon this culinary delight and were incredibly pleased. The food and service were outstanding - my scallops (and everything else) were cooked perfectly. It is BYOB with a liquor store very conveniently next door. It is a small interior, so definitely recommend making reservations for a large party. We can't wait to return.“
“8/11/23 still the best fresh seafood... one day i hope get a hat..!! Lol.I have been buying seafood for years. It is the freshest seafood and nicest people working the counter. And the prices are better than stop shop/ Frankie. I even have a shirt need a hat, now try it you will liki it.. prices are $$ cook fish on Thursday - Saturday“
“Fabulous place! Unbelievable food and crafter drinks, I have tried many of them from the cocktails list and they all are just delicious! Wonderful atmosphere, smooth music and the owners never miss the opportunity to stop buy your table and say friendly hello. Now the food, just exceptional (!) always fresh and creative, new items added to the menu. Love the tapas, small dishes that allow to try the culinary talents of the chef. Donnie will great you his wonderful friendly way and Gianna will do her magic to make you feel well taken care of. Thank you for wonderful experience every time we visit.“
“Finally got to enjoy Roma tonight. Lots of great choices. Veal parmigiana was about as good as it gets. Escarole, beans and sausage, long hot peppers in a marinara sauce, and a huge meatball for our appetizers were all amazing. Must plan ahead as reservations are the only way to get in on a Friday or Saturday night. Understandable given the high quality of their food and service.“
“Excellent restaurant. The staff is awesome. The food is delicious. The chef went out of his way to make me a dish that was not on the menu. Our waitress Alexis must have told him that I had asked if they served shrimp parmesan. She suggested the shrimp linguini. The chef prepared the dish for me which was very caring, it made me feel so special. I highly recommend Ria's Restaurant in Waterbury, CT.“
“Love Vivaldis in Avon ❤️ the staff is genuine, accomodating, and super nice. My son loves the chick parm dinner with garlic knots, my husband and I are big fans of the wings-garlic parm & buffalo.. they make an awesome grilled chicken salad over fresh greens. This thing is huge.“
“What a great local spot with karaoke and good food! We've been meaning to try this spot since moving nearby. The parking is on the street which is okay if it's not a busy night. The entrance in front does not lead to a waitress or a booth you walk into a bar. Which is fine but just so you know. From what I saw though is that there is a restaurant dining side I just didn't bother figuring out how to get there. Anyways, we sat at the bar that had plenty of seats! There is 1 pool table. The waitress staff are super friendly and want to make sure you like your drinks and food! I love seafood but if you're not big on seafood like my boyfriend just know that options are slim for non- seafood lovers. I got the lobster bisque and lemmmmme tell you- CHEF's kiss! It actually has claw lobster meat in there so you know it's not the fake stuff. Veryyyy flavorful! I also got the cheesy garlic bread- Um yum !!! My boyfriend got the burger and fries and not a crumb was left/ really big burger too. The martinis are on point!!! Truly enjoyed the winter creations they had. We had a great time doing karaoke which seems to be a hit here. Great night and good food :)“
“Live in the area and have driven by the restaurant hundreds of times. Tonight my wife and I decided we would try dinner there. To our surprise the food was absolutely fantastic. My wife had stuffed sole and I had stuffed shrimp. Also if you like soup try the chicken orzo. Homemade and delicious.Restaurant very clean and inviting.Service was great too.A hidden gem in Southington.Recommend this restaurant,Cannot wait to go again and try other items on their menu,“
“Had the distinct pleasure of eating at Greer’s Chicken in Bristol today…the fresh fried fish sandwich was great! The kids loved the chicken nuggets and raved over the Mac and cheese. Service was welcoming, prompt and courteous. Will definitely return on all Bristol visits!“
