“I've lived in this neighborhood for seven years and watched this restaurant change hands multiple times. The current owners are amazing. The rice and chicken is amazing but my preferred choice is a turkey grinder. Im very specific and my grinder is always made to perfection with care and good energy. Half of the staff remembers me at this point. The restaurant is clean as per usual and the music is soothing. If you haven't come to order I would highly recommend that you do!
Also since im adding a photo, my order is light turkey cheese all the veggies, extra mayo, vinegar and pepper. I had to specify since my personal sandwich may not look appetizing to some.“

“Last night was my first time at Portobello Restaurant and as a local HS Culinary teacher, this spot is INCREDIBLE. Although small, the atmosphere is cozy with top tier hospitality. And the food? If you want a genuine slice and a smile you should come here, I remember running into Pepe (the owner) before the restaurant opened and I always acknowledged how passionate he seemed about his business and it shows in the food and staff he hired. “Our second time trying Verona and both times we were very happy with our food. Our first visit we got pizza to go and it was the best margarita pizza we’ve ever had. Tonight we dined in and had the most amazing meals. They were super busy today and were out of some items so we had to change our order but I am so glad we did. The penne ala vodka was the best I’ve ever had and my husband loved the lasagna. The server, Harmony, was so kind and attentive. Portion sizes were very generous and now I have lunch for tomorrow as well. We will definitely be back!“

“I used to come here alot when I lived in the west end but it took my son asking for it after trying it with a friend to return after st least 15 years and it's still one of the best Greek style pizza places around. Great traditional atmosphere including the rotary push button juke boxes still functional at most booths i remember playing as a kid in the 80's lol. Anyway you won't be disappointed with anything you order here“

Update-we stopped in last night ,and the Owner and my friend with the great beard wer AWESOME! These guys wer floored with customers and worked like a well oiled machine together. Coming out with some of the BEST food around ,especially in this town! You have brought our faith in spending money out on food ! Tyguys!! I recommend the meatball sub ,or crispy chicken salad !;)

“I ordered take out and had. Large pizza with pepperoni and meatball and a side order of mild wings. Absolutely delicious! The delivery was fast! I didn’t even l ow they were here and received a call and came right out to get my order. What delivery man’s was nice and our order was hot and tasty! I would definitely recommend Gino’s Pizza in Bristol CT.“
