Overall I’d say the food here is pretty good. I like their chowder and was an big fan of their fried Portabello mushrooms. Not such a big fan of their tuna tartare or the steak sandwich. Sitting on the balcony was nice. Service was ok a bit slow and disinterested.
This restaurant served the best meal that we had while on the island. The lobster roll was superb. A half pound of fresh lobster on a Brioche roll was served with shoe string fries. I also tried the clay chowder which was the best I found on our trip to Boston and MV. It is made right at the restaurant and not shipped in per our waiter. Every bite had clams. My wife and I just passed by and we decided to try just because of the name. Turned out to be the BEST place we ate on our vacation. At first I thought the chowder was a little thin but once we dug in we found it to be the best chowder we had out of at least 10 places, it was so chunky and flavorful! This was the first place we tried a lobster roll and we fell in love with the place. We made it a priority to go back before we left the island! EAT HERE!
