Not only was the food and atmosphere great, so was the service. I suffer from a chronic illness and don’t do well with heat. When I started to not feel well, this team (led by David, I believe!) took care of me right away to cool down! They went above and beyond to help me feel better!! Fast, fun. Great way to wait for the ferry.
We went to the smaller bar, on the right when you walk in; the bartender didn’t even acknowledge or greet us, instead he literally tossed a drink menu across the bar at us.
At no point did he engage with us, other than when we asked for the bill. We never actually saw a bill, though; he just told us the cost verbally, which I thought was odd.

Based on the reviews, SANDBAR is a restaurant where people stop in for drinks and lunch. The drinks are delicious, and the burgers are excellent. The servers are nice and make suggestions. Kids enjoy the sand at their feet. A smorgasbord of oysters, fish tacos, quesadillas, fish and chips, and mac and cheese is available. Everything is OK and does the job. The service is amazing, with smiling and prompt attention. A bartender killed it with a great attitude. The most amazing lobster roll is packed with juicy meat and does not need more butter.
