“My wife and I attended today's 1230 Fireside Feast and it was definitely worth the two hour drive. The staff was excellent answering all of our questions and service during the dinner was over the top. The downstairs was crowded but everything was orderly with cheese and crackers, mulled cider and wine being served. The bar staff made some really festive cocktails. Once we were upstairs, the chowder was creamy and filled with clams. All of the food was hot and the prime rib was roasted perfectly over the fire. This was our first time going and will be back again next season. Thank you to all of the staff, not only host, servers, bar tenders and others we interacted with but also those behind the scene. These would be food preps, dish washers, chefs and anyone else who works at Salem Cross Inn. Merry Christmas and we will be back next season. Thank You.”

I also love that it’s not super rowdy even when it’s packed in a Friday night— as someone who doesn’t drink I really appreciate that people are respectful and relaxed.”

From start to finish, Amy — the venue coordinator — was an absolute dream to work with. She was organized, reassuring, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. She went above and beyond in every possible way. At one point, I was literally about to walk down the aisle without my bouquet, and Amy stopped me, sprinted back to my room, and got it for me — talk about a lifesaver! I handed her all of my décor the day before, and she set everything up more beautifully than I could have imagined. It felt like she pulled the vision right out of my head. “Village Pizza is our favorite pizza place in town! Family owned and operated, and the owners are great! Everyone there is genuinely friendly, the prices are fair, and the restaurant is always clean. The pizza is excellent - tons of cheese, really good crust, just the right amount of sauce. The chicken caesar wrap is a top fav, the homemade croutons really make it. The chicken parm is great and is always packed full - they definitely don’t skimp on portions. Village Pizza's mozzarella sticks and onion rings are the best around, and the fries are crispy and delicious too. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, delicious, and consistent. Our orders are always correct and spot-on. Delivery is fast, and they even deliver into Leicester! A solid, consistent local business with great people and great food - that is definitely worth supporting!”
