“We had an amazing experience for my husband’s surprise 60th birthday party at the Cabby Shack, with Salt of the Earth Catering.Sarah was very responsive to my questions and requests. She suggested menu items for a tasty late afternoon buffet including tuna wontons, yummy street corn dip, assorted pizza’s, chicken wings, clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and fresh Caesar salad. The presentation was excellent, and our guests were raving about the great food.It was the perfect location for a sunny seaside Saturday. The servers and bartenders were friendly, attentive, and very helpful.I couldn’t have been any happier. This was a fun & casual private event space with spectacular ocean views on a sunny, seaside Saturday! I’m still hearing from our guests about what a great party it was!“

Tasteful Adventures Caterers • $$
182 Summer St #6,259, Kingston

“Tasteful Adventures catered our wedding at Camp Kiwanee in Hanson, MA and our guests were amazed with all of the food! And of course, we were too! ? Lisa and Ken were so easy to work with, right from the beginning! Lisa was very responsive to all our questions and emails. They were so excited to curate a delicious menu for our special day. We trusted their experience and asked them to initially pull together a menu for us to react to after they heard our likes and dislikes. They did a great job because we had hardly any edits! They are clearly very experienced and well-equipped to manage any size event, so we had no second thoughts that they were able to pull off a dinner buffet for 85 guests. They are beautiful humans and they truly care about their craft. We highly recommend Tasteful Adventures if you love good, tasty food and want the food to be the HIGHLIGHT of your next event!“

“The Chef's Table catered a cocktail party for us at the Scituate Maritime Center. The staff was superlative, passed hors-d'oeuvres were outstanding, the bartender was helpful and efficient, and contact from start to finish with our event coordinator, Meghan, could not have gone more smoothly. They are pros and I recommend them wholeheartedly.“

Duxbury Deli Deli • $$
12 Bay Rd, Duxbury

“Was in town visiting for a long weekend and happened upon this deli. We are descendants of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins so we're delighted to see the sandwiches named after the Mayflower passengers. My dad and I got the John Alden (#1) without the roast beef and my mom got the daily special - a turkey wrap with avocado. We all thought the sandwiches were wonderful. The turkey was fresh and the light rye was soft and still a bit chewy. There was also just the right amount of slaw and Russian dressing. My dad said he could have ahead more slaw but that it was fine with the amount - kind of a personal preference. They were also doing well with precautions around COVID. Definitely recommend.“

“By far the best sandwich shop I've ever experienced. Their food is always top notch. They use the best ingredients and stuff every sandwich with the freshest meats and cheeses. The dressings are delicious and the dinners make you feel like they're from your mom's own kitchen. The staff is very friendly and cordial. I highly recommend this shop. Do yourself a favor and just try it. You will be happy you did! “

The Foodsmith Bakery • $
17 Standish St, Duxbury

“Thank you for your kindness offering to help with a same day luncheon for my family who is losing their loved one. I was told it was exactly what they needed and lifted their spirits. Thank you for your generosity agreeing to deliver to them (I was many miles away) to the nursing facility so they could focus their efforts supporting their loved one. The food I was told was spectacular! Pleasing to the eye AND absolutely delicious. Carefully crafted sandwiches full of flavor, chips, and a beautiful salad. "Perfect 10" were the shortbread bars with chocolate glaze! Chips and cupcakes! Needless to say, there were leftovers which makes for a quick bite to eat later on. Local Gem! #grateful! 1/25/24“

Snug Harbor Fish Company Seafood Markets • $$
459 Washington St, Duxbury

“July 2023: the chowder was good, the crab cake had a bad flavor even though it had a lot of meat, calamari was okay. For some reason the oysters were not as good or as plump as before. We got oysters here many times before although it was the first time we stopped by for lunch attracted by the outdoor space with umbrellas and a cool ocean breeze.“
