I have ordered 6 rolls during lunch time over the phone and when I came to pick it up they charged the full price. I was told it is because I specifically did not ask for that and they did not recalculated the price! I cannot believe it! Very dishonest and shady business!

We came here for a birthday dinner. This is the birthday boys favorite hibachi place and also my first experience going to any hibachi restaurant. It was amazing. The waitress was awesome and the chef was amazing to watch. I was very pleased that they were able to accommodate the cooking of certain food for people with seafood allergies. Theirs were cooked in the back kitchen. The food was great, they had a good selection of drinks and the menu was quite large. Not to mention I had my first sake sky from the chef. They were also able to accommodate our large group of 15. The food is on the expensive side, but it's worth it. I did see many children, so it is a kid friendly place. Great place to eat and will come again.

New Tokyo is a great quality teppanyaki restaurant and is fairly consistently a positive experience. The chef’s have all of the tricks you’d expect down pat from the onion volcano,to vaulting zucchini into your mouth. The quality of the food is always top notch even when coming at odd hours, the hibachi menu is still great.In addition to the hibachi menu, they have a fairly large sushi menu, a few different ramen options, your standard Japanese kitchen items like chicken teriyaki, and even a menu of Chinese food.The service is always cordial, polite, and patient. I appreciate their commitment to taking care of our needs and providing an entertaining experience. There aren’t a lot of Japanese restaurants on the south shore, but that doesn’t hurt New Tokyo and I’m grateful for them every time I go.

Probably one of the lowest food quality sushi restaurants I've ordered from.The yellow tail sushi was Grey and had an odor. I didn't even risk it.Crab rolls were for the kids. Luckily they like imitation crab.Fried rice with chicken was boiled rice and dry boiled chicken. Just bad.I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

I ordered a chirashi. The sushi rice was perfect and the sashimi was very fresh. It came with miso soup and a small side salad.The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with a section that has hibachi grills, but you can also be seated at regular tables. There is well provisioned bar.The staff were excellent. Very helpful with my order.
