Absolutely fantastic experience! The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The owners have truly put their hearts into this place, and it shows! They are warm, welcoming, and make you feel right at home. We were so impressed by their dedication—staying late after closing to ensure everything is spotless and perfect for the next day. It's clear they take great pride in what they do! We can’t wait to return on our next trip, especially for those mouthwatering pastries....read full review
The Portuguese Bakery fried dough here is absolutely amazing—one of the best we’ve ever had! This spot is always my first stop before strolling around and enjoying the sights!
Great bakery, delicious really. Rude gent said they didn’t allow service dogs however and even though she was dressed in ada required harness, our small dog was asked to leave. Ada was notified. Enjoy that conversation.

Provincetown Portuguese Bakery is a popular spot for those with a sweet tooth. Their fried dough and pastries are a highlight, especially the Malassadas, which are fluffy, fresh, and full of flavor. The bakery also offers savory options like Portuguese Kale soup and Cheese biscuits, which are highly recommended. Although seating is limited, the bakery is worth visiting, and customers often find themselves waiting a little while, especially since they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The owners put a lot of love into the place, making customers feel welcome and at home. Visitors often mention how fresh and flavorful the food is, with some getting lucky to enjoy a fresh Malassada even late in the day. The service is quick and friendly, and many stop here first before exploring the sights. Parking is best found in paid lots, as street parking can be difficult, even in October.
