I was promised to be amazed and this place did not disappoint! As my reviews may suggest, I love me a dive bar and this one is a classic. “Listen the only reason I can see someone leaving a bad review is if you got your butt kicked in a game of connect four against the bartender and your salty about it. Honestly the food and drink is on point! Especially the chicky tendies and shoestring French fries! Every food item I have ate has been fantastic though. Sam, Kim and everyone involved are great. I am assuming any negative reviews are from patrons who caused the problem. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Highly recommend! I regularly commute from Roslindale to patron this establishment for good food, good vibes and amazing experience! Thank you to the entire Four Square team for always being a welcoming, friendly and great place to frequent!“

“Really good food and the waitresses are super cool and nice! The chef the waitress take a picture of how he does the spicy cucumbers (so good)! Everything I ordered was great, the lobster fried rice, salt & pepper wings & spicy cucumbers. Only thing I would suggest is more rice with the lobster fried rice. Besides that my time was excellent!“

“Ballast is always consistent. It is a hidden-gem in Quincy. The Ballast Burger is absolutely fantastic and $9 deal on Tuesdays. The service is always A+ from start to finish. Overall, a really solid spot that I enjoy going back to and recommend to anyone looking for a great burger and top-notch service.“

“Absolutely LOVE the chili! Sooo delicious 🤗 The best! I am specifically referring to the Quincy location, not Norwell (the chili there is horrible). I’ve been eating at the Quincy location for many years. The staff is great, and the bar and dining area are comfortable. My only complaint: At times, the air fresheners or cleaning products used in the ladies’ room are too strong. A different product (preferably unscented) would be better. It’s not pleasant to smell such overpowering chemicals before or after a meal. Parking is what you’d expect for Quincy… limited street parking, but there is a garage behind The Fours.“

“The best bar in Dorchester! I was visiting the neighborhood on a Sat. night from out of town, and the bartender and clientele were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even brought in pizza from next door and shared it with everyone. :)

“One of my new favorites places and hidden gems in Quincy. Found this place by running into one of the bartenders at Sly Fox. Thanks Lisa! :) The owners Tony and Jodi (I think lol) are very friendly. Lisa is the friendliest bartender and nicest person in the world. The customers seem to all know each other.“

R&B can be heard playing through the surround sound system, which I loved and appreciate. The wait staff was very friendly and provided excellent customer service.“

“Had breakfast here. The building architecture blew my mind. Thick old fashioned adornments round the interior doors were astonishing. Booths seemed to have come from a prohibition era bar. Chandeliers with soft lighting complimented the atmosphere. Can only imagine the feels come night time. Food was good, walked up to the window & told them so before leaving. If you're into Bloody Mary's, their house mix was nothing to write home about. Plenty of parking available & if you feel unsafe to drive, rent a room at the lovely Seacoast Inn across the street.

“I went here for a Birthday party. It was on the second floor. When getting there I noticed it was an old building and it needed work. However when I went inside it was nice. It was clean and it had a new floor. It was a large space. There was a small bar and the bartender was friendly. The only problem I had was the strong smell of smoke. There was no one smoking there so I assume it is coming from the first floor .“

“this public House feels like a public home. there is a great community of regular customers who are really nice people. they offer a full bar and food. there is an outdoor area with great ambiance and games. they have a lot of fun weekly activities like karaoke and live music. they also just got in a new pool table with beautiful new cloth and balls. I myself don't actually drink anymore so I don't spend a lot of money when I go there but I am treated like I am important, welcome and wanted. this is a great place to hang out. this is a real review. I don't work for this place in any capacity. I found it a couple of months ago and I'm glad that I did.“

“Bring back the old pizzas!! Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza & got home to find out it's not the old ways. It's a big mess. The buffalo chicken is just thrown ontop of, the cheese is so thick is just slides right off the pizza. Needless to say I'm very sad. Oh and NO banana peppers 😭😭😭 used to be my favorite, now is not.“
