“first time visiting last night june 18th met up with some friends at this spot. was greeting by the awesome owner. pleasant environment with great tasting drinks plus music was on point. to top the night off food was amazing so much that most of my friends ordered a 2nd time and i took some home. highly recommend this place.“

“The banh mi are all very testy with crispy airy bread and lots filling. I've had them both spicy and not spicy, def go with spicy they just have sliced jalapenos in them but don't nuke your taste buds. I've had noodle soup dishes and vermicelli dishes from here as well and all taste very authentic and delicious. some ppl said this place lacks customer service, I personally think it adds to the restaurant IMO all the experiences I've had in places around Asia its always more about the food than customer service. I do understand how here ppl think they go hand in hand in food service but for a quick authentic delicious bite I highly suggest this place!“

“I visited Pho So 1 to try pho for the first time and they did not disappoint! My boyfriend eats here regularly and I look forward to doing the same. We got the Phở Gà Rau Cải (chicken noodle soup with vegetable and shredded chicken) and it was absolutely delicious! It was steaming hot which was perfect for the chilly rainy day. I liked that we got to customize our bowl by adding bean sprouts, chili oil, hot sauce, lime, etc provided to us at the table. The pho was so flavorful and even though I had never had it before, it was instantly comforting. The size large was enough to feel full while dining in and have enough to eat later as leftovers. Their fresh lemonade was the perfect balance between sweet and tart. We also got chicken wings which were perfectly cooked. The flavor was a 10/10 and the skin was crispy. Our server was kind and attentive. I highly recommend visiting!“

Salad: All veggies fresh.
Falafel: crisp and not greasy outside, tender inside.
Hummus: Perfect.
Rice: Unexpected but very tasty (I may have read the description too quickly.
Dolmas: Very tasty. Some other reviewer complained about getting them cold, which is the norm, no? Mine were served hot. I’m used to eating them cold, I’ll just ask for them not to be heated next time.
I ordered a side of baba. I closed my eyes and almost cried. This isn’t an exaggeration.

The owner was very kind and also included pita and a bite of baklava. This place is a gem and reminds me of my late Armenian grandfather. So, a very big win all around. Thank you.“

“I love this place! I order from here at least once a week. Mama (the owner) is very hard working, always has a smile on her face, always gives best customer service and as well as Paul her employee. “Stopped by today for a late breakfast. Truly amazing!! Chef Jerry He did an outstanding job constructing a culinary masterpiece of my favorite breakfast Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and one of the best I've had!! The maple ham stacked on top of a really nicely buttered bread was incredible!! “The hubby wanted to take me to lunch for my upcoming birthday..for our age and for our wallet we always go to lunch vs dinner...we are now already home with the pups in our jammies..so great...now as a self proclaimed foodie, I have wanted to try the food at Alma Nove at the Hingham Shipyard for many years...I am also a huge Wahlbergers show fan...adored their mom Alma on the show and her pal Phyllis...the show is so much fun..binge it if you haven't seen it..anyway...the weather today didn't look too spectacular for a waterfront restaurant but the blue skies showed themselves as we were eating inside...such a terrific location..the shipyard has been revitalized in the last 15 years or so...lots of shopping and dining destinations including the original Wahlbergers Burger Joint...I love this stuff...Dave is like ok whatever...but our experience was lovely..I will say however that my husband and I don't quite fit in the Hingham vibe...and it has a vibe..no shade but it kind of carries an air about it...the people I mean...lol...but we ignored all that and for sure enjoyed lunch..even Dave said how delicious it all was...our server...nice..we typically enjoy banter with our servers...he wasn't about that...all business and he gave us excellent service..but I do have the sense that more than likely the staff has high hopes of gaining maybe a walk on role on Blood Bloods with Donnie or maybe a handshake from Marky Mark when he comes through from time to time...hope for them it happens..fingers crossed...😉..about the food...great bread..seemed homemade but simple..fresh..served with butter that had black specks on it..turns out it was a black salt..interesting..a few drafts for Dave from Mayflower Brewery in nearby Plymouth and I had a lovely Pinot Noir...bottled water on the table..big fan of that..I ordered the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops served over a sweet potato risotto , topped with haricot verts(fancy greenbeans), toasted marcona almonds and truffle honey and my date had the Butternut squash Tortellacci with pan seared chicken topped with sage brown butter sauce, pecorino romano, apple cider gastrique and fried sage and chives..wow..we are styling here in the Shipyard...every bite was spot on and a perfect serving for lunch..we enjoyed all of it..dessert..well.of course..they have an in house pastry chef so that's a given for me..chose the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding..when he returned he also brought a small chocolate dessert..like cake in a jar with whipped cream and a candle...he said they heard someone was celebrating a bday...we never said it so all I can figure is I posted that we were there for my bday and had tagged the restaurant...great social media connection if that was the case...we shared them and they were fabulous...took some photos around the place..ran into folks the hubby knew from Hull..absolutely highly recommend Alma Nove..those that aren't familiar with the background. ..The famous Wahlberg Brothers Donnie and Mark have a brother Paul who is the chef and owner of Alma Nove..named for their precious mom Alma and Nove in Italian means nine..there were 9 Walhberg kids..5 stars from me for Alma Nove.. Open daily for lunch and dinner. .I believe they have live music on Sundays and in the nice weather their outside patio overlooks Hingham Bay...a must try❤️ Mark has famously said their brother Paul is the most talented in the family...I believe that is spot on...“

“I would recommend it because the food is good but when I ordered they said a half hour I had to sit outside and wait though. when I got there I had to wait outside almost a half hour because they only let one person in the building at a time. I got there about 45 minutes after ordering they told me five or 10 more minutes it took an additional almost 20 minutes. I sat outside in the freezing cold. I did not receive an apology or anything. This is the first time I have not tipped since Covid began.“

“- Thai-ny Boat Noodle with Beef ($8): Love that they offer this portion size because the broth can feel too heavy at the regular size. The flavor was rich, and there was a decent amount of protein despite the size.

- Khao Kha Moo ($16.95): I liked the sauce, and the flavor was tasty at first, but I got sick of the mushy texture halfway through. The pork is slow braised, so it is supposed to be tender, but I think using pickled mustard greens rather than Chinese broccoli would have given this dish more dimension and distracted from/balanced out the texture.

- Durian Sticky Rice Coconut ($6.95): A bit expensive for the price but gave it a chance because it was a novel menu item. I was expecting something similar to how mango sticky rice is typically served at Thai restaurants where you get a scoop of rice drizzled with coconut milk and some sliced mango on the side, but this was more like a sticky rice soup with a few durian chunks. The taste wasn’t bad, but it was way too sweet, and there wasn’t enough durian.“

From start to finish, the staff at both Webster Timberlanes and Luci’s went above and beyond to make sure our event was absolutely perfect. Every single team member was incredibly accommodating — delivering the food right to our party area, taking great care of our adult guests at the bar, and even handling all of the cleanup. They made hosting a party feel effortless, which any parent knows is a gift in itself. A very special shoutout goes to Uncle Lou, who helped us book the party. He was wonderful to work with: kind, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us create a great celebration. Our daughter has severe allergies, and Lou took it upon himself to go through the menu to see what would be safe for her. It meant the world to us — she rarely gets to enjoy food out at restaurants, so this was such a treat.
