I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional. I only interacted with one staff member, but the service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I highly recommend you try their food. I'll definitely be coming back. “This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. The meatballs were good sized and very solid. The sauce had a very nice taste. I felt the meatballs themselves were very slightly chewy, but overall nicely done. I really webbing the pizza. Great crust, great sauce, excellent pepperoni. “This place is SO cool. It's been on my radar for awhile, but today was my first time visiting. I was greeted with bright, fun colors and beautiful murals very reminiscent of Hawaii. Step in and veer right to the counter where you are guided through assembling your perfect bowl or pokérito (burrito with poké). There are cooked and raw options to suit all palate preferences. There is a large self-seating dining room to the left of the counter, which makes this place appealing for casual family outings. They even have a stack of board games on hand in the dining area to encourage extra fun with family and/or friends.“

“I am a self-proclaimed pizza snob and generally only enjoy NY-style pizza, but Royal Pizza & Subs makes an excellent pizza that rivals what I grew up eating. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the sauce-to-cheese ratio was ideal, and the pepperoni was high quality. The medium-thickness crust was slightly different from NY-style pizza, but so delicious that I didn’t mind one bit! (It was a bit softer and chewier than what I’m used to, and I didn’t notice any semolina flour on the bottom.) My spouse doesn’t usually eat the crust, but we both finished every last bit of our slices! The pizza was a little greasy because of the generous portion of pepperoni, but who would complain about that?! Nothing a few napkins can’t fix!

The staff were super friendly and the service was great: our pizza was ready so quickly! The prices were also extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I am so happy that this restaurant is so close to home: it’s going to become a regular place for us to eat at! We only tried the pepperoni pizza last night, but I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. If you’re in Somerville, don’t miss the chance to eat here!“

“My hubby is the manager at Antons cleaners next door to liberty and when I come in with him on early days etc etc, I always- I mean ALWAYS people!- get us liberty bell for lunch. It’s the best roast beef sandwich you can find and it’s consistently made the same way so you can expect that high quality with every order honestly. Their online ordering is smooth and simple and they’re super safe upon pickup and following any and every Covid precaution there is!
