“My wife and I went on a wedding trip in wine country California last year and had an amazing BLT sandwich with super fresh local ingredients at a little cafe. After returning home to the Boston area , I started a search for a lunch shop near my office on Portland Street that could replicate that BLT experience for me. Ultimately the Bonne Chance Cafe was it! The folks that own and run this place are quiet, seemingly shy, but sweet and lovely people very dedicated to their craft. I try at least once a week to go back there and get my BLT on toasted wheat bread with sliced grilled chicken added, and I've been doing this long enough now that they know exactly why I'm there. Their food is delectable and tasty! They run a tight ship, high on cleanliness and the freshest ingredients. Definitely a must find!“

“The owner was very nice! My mom and I landed in Boston earlier in the day and heard great reviews about the place and decided to check it out. The wings (Wing Dings) were sooooo good! We asked for recommendations and the owner was very upfront about his meatballs (in him not getting the ones he would serve us until 5pm). We got the Chicken Bacon Ranch panini and the Chipotli Chicken. I loved the CBR—the bread was crispy and fresh with a hint of rosemary. My mom loved her panini. The portions are huge so expect leftovers if you get an appetizer!“

“Perfect little sub shop in Backbay. We opted for the Italian Sub to go. The atmosphere was awesome with a lot of locals getting what seemed to be a regular daily lunch meal. The staff and customers seemed to know each other and a sense of community was ever so prevalent. The food itself was outstanding, even after a 5 hour train ride it traveled with us to ur next stop. Highly recommend this place. Truly a diamond in the rough.“

Tried Pokeworks at Quincy Market in Boston and honestly wish I found this place sooner! The market itself was super crowded and a bit overstimulating on a Saturday night, and the location was slightly hard to find because it was packed with people — but that’s definitely more about Quincy Market being busy than the restaurant itself.

I did a collect order and highly recommend doing that because my food was ready straight away with no waiting around. The portions were EXTREMELY generous and definitely good value for money. I got the poke salad bowl with tuna and prawns and added literally every topping possible (which was great because there were so many included at no extra cost). Everything tasted fresh and filling, and I was seriously impressed by how much food I got.

Left feeling very full and very satisfied. Would absolutely go back again!“
