Burtons Grill & Bar offers a mixed dining experience with a relaxed and casual vibe. The servers are fantastic and extremely well trained, providing attentive service. The meal arrives in a relatively short time. While some dishes like the fish can be dry, the truffle fries, general tso with shrimp, and Salmon Romesco are delicious choices. The clam chowder is above average for New England, and the scallops with risotto are excellent. The restaurant has a cozy, high-end ambiance for date nights or lunch, with highlights like amazing margaritas, burgers, and espresso martinis. The California chicken sandwich, wings, crab cakes, and braised short ribs are also excellent. The meat is tender and perfectly seasoned, and the greens are fresh. However, some dishes like the cauliflower wings may be too sweet. The staff handles food allergies well, making it worth the extra dollars. Portions can be medium small, so ordering an app is recommended if starving.
