This a terrific, low-key bar populated mostly by locals. No food (other than community dinners and bagged snacks) but a good selection of alcohol at very reasonable prices. There's one pool table, a wood stove, and a back room that can be reserved for larger events. There's also a pavilion for outdoor music in the summer. Nothing fancy here - just a great neighborhood bar in the best sense of the word.
Down home kinda joint. I'm there for the Irish music session on Tuesday nights, and the friendly atmosphere. All kinds, doing their own things, playing pool, talking, laughing, meeting their own folks. Taco Tuesday every other week!
If you're looking for a wonderful place to meet and share good times with an awesome community of folks, this is your spot. There's a great beer and drink selection, free pool on Wednesdays, music on weekends, delicious member- hosted dinners. It's the closest thing I know of to an honest-to-God pub - a gathering place and cultural hub for rural folks - in the US.
