My husband and I received a generous gift card from clients and we waited for a good occasion to use it. A good friend of ours recently had a significant birthday, so we thought we should invite him and his wife to share a meal at the Legal C Bar on the Mystic and celebrate. We all enjoyed our meal, attentive service and atmosphere. We also found easy parking close to the restaurant. We'll come back again, perhaps after spending a bit of time shopping at the Assembly Row...
Wait staff was limited and we ordered appetizers after waiting for 15 minutes. Once we realized how slow service was going placed the order for entree with the check to be able to check out asap because we had to be somewhere in an hour. She was doing her best, customer focused and managing a lot of guests but we did not have the time to wait.
I had a mixed experience at Legal Sea Foods. My dad and I ordered the fried seafood, but unfortunately, the batter tasted burnt and seemed fried in old oil. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she suggested that the Cajun flavor was meant to be smoky, but we never ordered it with Cajun seasoning. Instead, it just tasted burnt with a weird aftertaste.
