About Liars

Liars is a restaurant in the Somerville/Boston area that offers a dining experience focused equally on drinks and food. The atmosphere is described as cute, vibrant, and well designed, with two sides to the dining room, a nice wrap around bar, and an open kitchen. The space is cool and pleasant with interesting twists, great art in the bathroom, and a blue and yellow woodgrain. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is fantastic.

The food is delicious and flavorful without being heavy or unnecessarily complex, with layers upon layers of flavours and textures in each dish. Specific dishes mentioned include the cauliflower/almond soup, oysters with cherry salsa, lamb and zucchini stew, pesto crudo salad, rice with crab fat butter, tuna meatballs, fiddleheads, swordfish, vegetables and labneh, and a blueberry muffin. Dessert is frankly amazing, with incredible truffles and a corn muffin with ice cream. The cocktail menu has plenty of wild and wonderful options, the mocktails are fantastic, and the wine list is impressive. The food is more meat heavy than their sister restaurant, but there are still good options for a vegetarian. Liars offers fine dining meals in an environment that feels like you could pop in any night.

Had dinner here last week and my husband and I agreed its the best meal we've had in Boston in awhile. The food was delicious and flavorful without being heavy or unnecesarily complex. We especially loved the cauliflower/almond soup. The oysters with cherry salsa were another favorite. The mocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere struck just the right balance for us - excellent food and a well designed space, but not formal or stuffy. This feels like an elusive find in Boston....read full review
One of my new favorite dining experiences in MA.
Cute, vibrant, spot with two sides to the dining room snd a nice wrap around bar as well as an open kitchen. This spot is equally focused on drinks and food so there are plenty of wild and wonderful options on both the cocktail and food menu.

Everything we had was tasty snd unique. There were layers upon layers of flavours and textures in each dish. Highly recommend the lamb and zucchini stew for its deep, rich, luscious layers of flavours.
