8 Best Craft Breweries near South Hadley

Drunken Rabbit Brewing Brewery • $
749A New Ludlow Rd, South Hadley

“I have been to Drunken Rabbit a couple of times. I love that they have a wide selection of beer to choose from and a great menu that pairs well with the beer. Each time I've been there, I have ordered different things. For the beer, I can't remember what I ordered, but they were good. For food, I've had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the poutine tater tots. I would absolutely order those again. I love that Drunken Rabbit offers a variety of events. Both times I've been there, they had an event going on (cookie swap during the holidays and a glass painting night). I enjoy hearing about the events during their ads on the radio.“

“I really liked this place. First, I want to give the staff praise for being super friendly and always attentive. Beers were solid and prices are reasonable. Great place to watch a game at the bar. My elderly parents also liked it and said they would come back.“

Abandoned Building Brewery Brewery • $
142 Pleasant St #103a, Easthampton - 4.52 miles

“We were in from out of state visiting my daughter & learned about DTF Comedy Night being hosted at the ABB. We immediately loved the "speakeasy" vibe when we entered. The friendly, knowledgeable staff provided great recommendations based on our beer interests. We each chose a different option & all of us really enjoyed what we ordered - an IPA, a barrel aged dark beer, & the sour. The host of the comedy show was got everyone warmed up and each performer kept us going with their unique comedic styles. You can't go wrong with a night of laughing & great beer.Between sets, we headed out to the food truck & dived into some delicious garlic cheesy bread with dip.We talked on the way home about what a nice evening we had & what a great gem we discovered. In addition to a really great overall experience, I am especially impressed with the integrity & high level of customer service that I personally experienced. I left my purse at the brewery - SO dumb of me! It had all the things in it- cash, my work badge, house/work/car keys, you name it. To make matters worse, I was visiting from out of state, we were leaving early the next morning & the brewery didn't open until 2pm. As soon as I discovered what I had done, I frantically left a message on the ABB voicemail & the owner called me back. They found my purse & shipped it to my home overnight. Everything was in my purse, including the cash. In a world where people do the right thing less often that we all care to admit, Matt & ABB not only did the right thing, they went really far above and beyond. There are no words. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We had an amazing evening AND you restored my faith in humanity.“

Progression Brewing Company Brewery • $$
9 Pearl St, Northampton - 4.9 miles

“Sitting in Progression right now, listening to some tasty light jazz (no cover, btw:). As always, the taproom manager, Chris, is omnipresent, making sure everyone is happy as possible. The staff is always so friendly and it creates such a great atmosphere (shout-out to Brittney).I am a beer snob, and let me tell you, all the styles are at the high end. Mostly wonderfully hoppy IPA's, but also a lovely Kolsch, and terrific stout are available today. There are even 3 different hard seltzers for the non beer lovers out there.Food is pub style, of course. The menu is a bit limited, but top notch.Highly recommended for a fun night out that doesn't break the bank“

Fort Hill Brewery Brewery • $
30 Fort Hill Rd, Easthampton - 3.68 miles

“Really don’t have anything bad to say about this brewery! I have been here twice now (usually visit when in town from NYC) and both times were a total blast. The place itself is very well kept and extremely spacious. We had a group of 10 and were able to get seats no problem. The beer selection is great. They have something for everyone, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Fresh Pick is probably the most popular (and it’s good). Last time I went I got the Das Boot which was pretty sizeable, beer was good and I love that you get to keep the glass! One of my favorite parts about this spot is they are always doing live music, and it’s always decent to good. In the summer, they have an awesome location outside where the bands play. You can easily spend all day here. The bartenders could know more about the beer they are serving but it doesn’t take away from the experience!“

Drawing Board Brewing Company Brewery • $$
36 Main St, Florence - 7.07 miles

“Drawing Board has great beer that changes regularly, great people working there (also the owners and brewers!), great people who go there, and (maybe the best part) they are a genuine community space. They have everything from puzzles, events, and poetry to games and reading nights. They're situated near a lot of dinner options as well and are happy for people to bring food and come hang out. They're good at what they do and they're truly local in the sense that they foster community and are committed to making sure people have a good time whenever they stop by.“
