“Tasty Beef and Guiness Pie, mashed potatoes and carrots. Background music was just at the right level to enable a lively dinner conversation with old friends. Enough screens to glace at the Final Four while not being distracting as we caught up. The Dubliner does the old Kinsale justice! ❤“

“There ! I've said it. Hope you're happy, Peter O'Malley. I've resisted yelping the Plough for years because I like being able to get a seat there for a pint or two or maybe more. It's so comfortable as it is - because it is just a pub. But wait, think a one lane bowling alley with tables down the side facing the bar with someone in overalls playing something 'grovin' at the end while you chill. The there's the Cuban you can't get enough of to go with the black and tan. Add the locals, more music, Mary, the brews, weird specials and it doesn't get better. Get over the bathroom, it looks like that because it is that. Yeah, sure I'll have another.“

“Perfect. This is a fun place to spend an evening, my favorite bar/restaurant in the Davis square area. Good selection of beer (love the cask beer), delicious meals (I've tried the sausage in a pretzel bun and the schnitzel), good service, and a cosy atmosphere.“

“Stopped in for a quick bite early Saturday afternoon. We got the buffalo wings to start. Salmon Caesars and killer nachos for entrees. Holy cow those nachos could feed a table of 10! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the ceasar bed was fresh and delicious, not too much dressing or croutons. We joked with our waiter to bring an army to help finish our meals and he politely went along with it. The owner even made an appearance to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves.I was a little disappointed to not see more Irish faire on the menu but their selection was immense and their was plenty to satisfy anyone's palate, including your picky eaters. Will certainly be making a stop back next time I'm in the area.Vegetarian options: Salads, veggies burgers, vegetable entrees.“

“Great Irish Bar! We stopped on our way back from seeing the Queen concert at TD Gardens. It was late so the kitchen had closed. We're not from the Boston area, but we felt really welcomed. Live music had left, but the music on playtunes was great! The bartender, was so friendly. My only regret is that this bar isn't where we live. When we come back to Somerville, Sally O'Brien's is a warm & friendly bar. A must stop! Thank you.“

“Friendly staff, including folks I know from High School, relaxed atmosphere, and tasty pub food. Highly recommend the BLT plate, and their Burgers are delicious. Definitely get their sweet potato fries, those things are addictive. Can be a bit busy at times, but it’s a down to earth local bar/pub. Good for a night with that family, or watching the Pats. They also have a large variety of drinks and spirits. And they will occasionally have live music on the weekends (local bands)Kid-friendliness: I see a lot of families come in for lunch on the weekends. Pretty chill place for families, and staff our friendly.“

“I've visited and dined here several times over the past few years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very nice, and the food is excellent. I have yet to dive in deeper into the menu here, which I am looking forward too:)“

“Come here pretty often as I live in the area. I'm assuming management or ownership has changed recently? There has been a drastic drop in customer service the past couple times. I can't give less than a 4 star review because I do love this place“

“The local watering hole nearby changed owners, so all the people I came here to avoid now eat here. Oh well, thats not the restaurants fault.lt's a fairly standard Irish themed bar with a long bar, lots of beer varieties, and a wide food menu selection. Service is either really awesome with an enthusiastic wait staff, or so-so with one specific person who seems inconvenienced to be open.Favorites here include the appetizer combo, Mac & cheese (sometimes Buffalo and other flavors are available seasonally), the Galway burger, the Shepards Pie and the Beef Stew.“
“I've been to Durty Nelly's a few times, day and night, and love it every time I go. No frills, but a solid spot that's relatively tourist free. I've found the bartenders to be efficient and fun to be around and the place to have a great atmosphere with AWESOME music playing. No food here, but a great spot for pre or post dinner drinks - and the Guinness was PERFECT, one of the best pours I've ever had. A place I'll continue to go whenever I'm in Boston/the North End.“

“We found this place and the reviews were great and did they live up the their reviews! Drinks, service and the food was fabulous. My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and he was so impressed with the quality of of the chicken & I got the drunken tips. The BBQ sauce was delish and the veggies were fresh!“
